“Mad Max” has to be seen to be believed. Unique in the UK as this is a road legal VW based sand rail. Don't confuse this with a tarted up VW UVA Fugative. it isn't! This is a serious off roader with impressive specification.

Originally it is believed to be a Chenowth two seater sandrail frame imported from the USA and built by Dave Fisher at Kingfisher Kustoms in Birmingham.

After being acquired by the current owner it was entirely overhauled over four years and has been modified into a replica of the Chenowth US Marine Corp's Fast Attack Vehicle (FAV) as used in 1990's Gulf War Desert Shield operations. Of which similar copies in the USA have sold on ebay for up to $25. 00 USD (I know the guy who bought it!)

This is an amazing vehicle to drive on or off the road. It has got a great power to weight ratio and draws a lot of attention everywhere it goes so this is not for the shy!

I'd prefer this to go to VW or Military enthusiast and its priced competitively as I'm only selling it to fund the rebuild of a VW beetle.

Outstanding Actions

·         It is currently SORN and it will need an MOT before going back on the road.

·         I know it will need the headlights aligning and the brakes bleeding and balancing (these are all new and haven't been run in)

The tires are tired remoulds so no longer road legal. These will cost about 95 quid for part worn replacements. I will supply and fit at cost if needed.   I'm including spare off road tires/wheels too.

·         Some of the cosmetic welding is agricultural! If you plan to spray it up I'd take a grinder to the odds bit of old tack welds. but to be honest two people you can strip the whole car to the frame in 2 days. So you could do a real nice job if you know a guy with a spray booth.

·         It goes without saying this is an old. off road kit car. built to look like a serving military vehicle. If you are expecting leather trim. A/C. electric windows (or any windows for that matter!) this is not your car.

·         You don't get a refund if it breaks down or stuff falls off as you hurtle cross country in it. This is a big old toy and as such will require investment and effort to maintain or improve further. so only bid or buy if you know what you are doing.

·         UK mainland delivery at cost on receipt of full payment can be arranged

BTW I also have a Porsche 914 1. 7 fuel injected engine suitable for this if you want a flat four (see my other listings)
