1969 Plymouth Roadrunner Ray Barton 528 crate hemi for sale
Current customer rating: (488 votes ) based onThis is an absolutely beautiful hemi roadrunner. While it started as a 383 4-speed it has now been converted to you what you see now which is a pro street set up with a Ray Barton hemi crate motor. The engine is the 528 cubic inch mopar performance motor pushing an approximate 640 horsepower. On top is a quick fuel 950 cfm carb which gives it instant throttle response. The 727 tranny is the stronger hemi case with a forward shifting manual valve body and a 3500 stall converter. It has a strange axle dana 60 with 410 gears. As you can see the car has been professionally back halved and tubed. This roadrunner is very street friendly as well as set up to go to the track. All this and it will still run on 93 octane gas. There are willwood disc brakes on all 4 wheels which will stop this beast in an instant. The front end has been gone thru and has been aligned and drives down the road straight and true. This car is a pleasure to drive and has almost no play in the steering as commonly seen in these old mopars. The roadrunner has a hemi k-frame and mounts. All of this has less then 500 miles.
The best part about this bird is the paint and body. This car has never had any rust and still has all of it's original steel panels including floors. uarters. and even trunk floor. The only modification other then the wheel tubs is a center section cut out of the trunk for the fuel cell. The panel gaps are virtually flawless and I have yet to see a body wave. The doors shut as new with no sags or rattles. The black paint is absolutely stunning and has a shine that has to be seen in person to appreciate. This car has the best of two worlds. you can take it to a car show and win or you can take it to the track and have a good time. It has working lights and brake lights and with just a few modifications could be made street legal.
I welcome all inspections and or questions and possible mopar trades up or down and will reply as quickly as possible. Thanks Bill 636 219 7298
