1979 TRIUMPH SPITFIRE “CONCOURS RESTORATION. THIS CAR IS BETTER THEN NEW!!!”
The Classic Car Gallery is proud to offer this concourse quality 1979 TRIUMPH SPITFIRE.
This car has undergone a full photo documented ROTISSERIE RESTORATION. and may be the finest SPITFIRE on the market today. These cars are often neglected and claims of restoration amount to no more than a repaint and a tune-up. This car has been through a comprehensive nut and bolt PHOTO DOCUMENTED restoration!!! She was completely disassembled. stripped to bare metal. put on a rotisserie. and resprayed ($15. 20). The underside of the car is as nice as the top (see photos). The original engine and transmission were stripped down. rebuilt. and refinished to better than new condition ($6500). Every nut and bolt was removed. REPLATED and reassembled. The entire brake system including Calipers. rotors. lines. and master cylinder were replaced!!! The entire suspension system was disassembled and rebuilt (using SPAX adjustable shocks). The a-arms were repainted. and all shocks bushings and ball joints were replaced with NEW. The stainless steel exhaust system. from the headers back is all new as well. The wire wheels are new. as are the tires (VREDESTEIN). The wiring harness is new. ALL CORRECT OEM PARTS WERE USED. The entire restoration has less than 300 break in miles. The interior was restored in MULBERRY RED LEATHER. replacing the original vinyl. the red carpets are new. The DASH IS NEW. and the instruments have been restored. The TOP IS NEW mohair (not cheap vinyl). and the top mechanism has been restored. The top was lowered for the first time for the photographing of the car. there isn’t a wrinkle in the windows!!! All systems work as they should. and the car drives as new. As you may have surmised. the theme of meticulous attention to detail and a no-expense spared attitude was taken in the restoration of this car. The Silver Metallic paint is near flawless. and the red leather interior is rich and sumptuous. People do not restore spitfires to this level. and this car can be purchased at a fraction of the restoration cost!!! Please do not call and tell me that we are asking too much for this car. If you are seduced by price. then this car is not the car for you; if you are looking for the FINEST SPITFIRE on the market. then look no further. Please feel free to call 203 256 9800 or email Steven@classiccargallery. com if we can answer any of your questions.
