1970 VOLKSWAGEN KARMANN GHIA CONVERTIBLE:
--Pastel Blue with Blue interior and Blue carpets. Restored. 1. 85 CC Flat 4-Cylinder Engine. Single Solex Carburetor. 60 BHP at 4. 00 RPM. 4-Speed Manual Gearbox.

Beautifully restored. Celebrated Ghia Design. Hand-Built by Karmann. the Ultimate Coachbuilt Beetle. Produced until 1974. the Karmann-Ghia remains one of Ghia’s most commercially successful designs – a coachbuilt Beetle that is an indelible chapter of the Volkswagen legend.

This Karmann Ghia is a marvelous restoration. the level of which is rarely afforded a car of this price-point. Believed to be a California car for much of its early life. this Volkswagen was acquired in the mid-2000s by Hoosier Hot Rods of Syracuse. Indiana. a firm that has specialized in classic automobile restorations since 1994. Judged at the time to be a solid example. the car was treated to a no expense restoration in 2007. Upon completion. this Karmann-Ghia was exhibited at local car shows and stored among the owner’s distinguished assembly of vintage sports cars. Since restoration. the car has accrued less than 250 miles and it remains in beautiful condition.

Offering some of Europe’s finest coach-building talent at a fraction of the relative investment. this quality Karmann-Ghia is a wonderful testament to one of history’s most enduringly popular coachbuilt cars.

This Karmann Ghia should go to someone who can appreciate the amount of money spent to bring it to this level.   It is not your run of the mill rusted Karmann Ghia with shiny paint.   We will never see the money that has been spent on this restoration back. it is just not possible!  It should go to someone who will appreciate it. It was a friend of mines monetary love affair and mistake. He wanted to keep it for his beach house and then had twins and just does not have the time to use it.
