Proffessionaly built custom Volkswagen 21 window deluxe microbus

 Here. available now is this custom 1967 21 Window Deluxe Microbus.
Where do I start. The body is all stock with the exception of the Volkswagen script and bumper over riders were left off for a cleaner look.
Exterior colors are black and a green that was custom mixed to match the green glass used all around. The bus gives off a cool green "glow' in certain light.
Interior colors are a light grey Ultrasuede headlining with Orchard green Ultraleather on custom hand laid door panels of aluminized fiberglass. most refer to this very unique material as chrome carbon fiber. The carpets are a medium grey with stainless strips in the cargo area.
The interior consists of a custom made rear seat and custom made version of the very rare VW  "flip seat" up front that rests on front wheel tubs that go all the way across the bus and into the doors. The Gauges are all custom built from Speedhut with the same chrome carbon fiber faces as the door panels. the clear plastic lenses were removed from them and green glass lenses were fitted to match the body glass. Speedometer is G. P. S. enabled ( works off of satellites ) for accuracy. all other gauges are programmable and the clock is a one off custom hand built to match. The stereo is from Custom Autosound and looks much like a 67 bus radio but with the features of today. The air box knobs. door pulls. inside door handles and dash grab bar are all billet from MCJ in the UK. Steering wheel is stock Repro. Bus features front and rear polished stainless safari windows from Wolfgang as well as 8 chrome pop-outs down the sides. The front door window frames were also chromed and the other front window parts are in stainless steel from Autocraft Egineering in the UK.
All suspension is from Wagenswest and is LOW on air bags with programmable ride height by Gauge automotive ( low for show and up to drive ) the air ride system which is controlled from the dash resides under the rear seat and also supplies air to the hidden TRAIN HORNS !!!
With Porsche 944 brakes and custom built Iozzio 17" wheels all around this bus drives like it's on rails and stops on a dime ( and gives change ) !
But before you stop. you must go. no problem. the Pat Downs built fuel injected 2160 while not a monster motor was built for reliability and at 155 H. P. on the Dyno with 153 Ft. Lbs. of torque it has plenty of power to feed to the Rancho Pro street gear box with freeway flier gears.
The entire engine compartment has been fitted with custom built bead rolled panels to cover the cooling fan. train horns. gas tank and wheel wells. all of which are painted to the same level as the outside of the bus. attached with all polished stainless fasteners of course that match the ones on the interior panels. The little supports for the rear package tray were removed and custom hand made aluminum brackets were fabricated and then chrome plated. while at the chrome shop I also dropped off all the latches and strikers for all the doors and hatches
A custom glass engine lid  gives access from above making cleaning and tuning a pleasure instead of a chore. This opening is surrounded by storage compartments which hold the battery. E. F. I. computer. hot rod style push-in fuse box and your tools. parts and cleaning supplies.
A very large part of how I do things concerns the longevity of repairs. NO time or $$ was spared to get at and repair and then preserve any rust or other issues resulting in a vehicle that will last a very long time. so many times I see other vehicles that look nice now but will surely deteriorate in a short time. this type of work takes a lot of time and cash so it needs to be done correctly the first time !
Bus comes with a nice bus cover.

I built this bus myself. I am a professional builder. I built it to keep. I do not need to sell it but after enjoying it and taking best of shows almost everywhere it has been I have decided to move on if someone wants to step up and own one of the best built custom buses around.
 Please understand that this was originally a 13 window deluxe.   I feel that this does not take away from the vehicle as it is so custom and the workmanship and build quality of this bus is second to none.
