1970 VW Double Cab Crew Cab Pick Up Truck Bay Window

Fewer double cabs where built than any other bay window bus.  Even fewer of them are still alive today.  This survivor we found and rescued from a garage in South Carolina where we were told it had been sitting with flat tires since the late 80's.
Brand new base coat clear coat paint job with quality automotive DuPont products inside and out. bumpers. rims. etc with Volkswagen's color Velvet Green (rims and bumpers are painted in off white).  
The bus was completely disassembled down to a shell.  
Any rust was removed and new metal was welded in its place.  
Complete underbody has been sealed with rust preventative undercoating.  
ALL rubber seals have been replaced a with new.  
New radial tires have less than 50 miles on them.
Upholstery includes new foam and features new pleated and perforated tan/saddle leather-like vinyl tops with accenting piping and solid sides.   
Dashboard is excellent with no cracks and new special rubber/plastic paint.  
Engine has been REBUILT to a larger 1641cc from the original 1600cc. Also has higher performance dual port cylinder heads.
Transmission is a standard 4 speed. Not only fun to drive but simple to drive as well.
Brakes have been disassembled and inspected.  New wheel cylinders. shoes. master cylinder and switches. and brake lines and hoses where necessary have been replaced.  
Most of the components on this double cab have been tested and either; replaced. repaired and /or refurbished.  Many of her original German parts were in great condition and have been reused as opposed to replacing them with new but often lesser quality aftermarket parts.
