Up for sale is my 1988 MK1 Volkswagen Caddy built in Wolfsburg. Germany. It spent the first part of it's easy life as a German Red Cross vehicle stationed in Singen. Germany. I purchased and imported the truck in the spring of 2013. We showed it at various car shows during that summer promoting a small VW parts business.   It has been garage kept since. Pictured is an early MK1 rabbit chrome bumper. this bumper has since been removed and is not included. Original late model bumper and hella fog lights. pictured in front of the truck. has since been refitted. There is no structural rust anywhere to be found. However along the bottom of the Original windshield seal there are a few spots from where the paint has started to lift.   The Caddy shows 11. 71 Kilometers or 6941 miles. I believe this to be accurate as the included original TUV paperwork (German road inspections) also shows consistent kilometers at time of inspections. It also retains the original cardboard cooling deflectors in front of the radiator and original cardboard fuse guide. I welcome anyone to come and check it out for themselves. You will not be disappointed.

The cap can be removed and is not a permanent fixture. I will not remove the cap before auctions end. There is a rear window in the cab. It is a late model European bubble window.

Purchased March of 2013
Port of entry 1303. Baltimore. MD.
Entry Date April 27. 2013

Replaced valve cover gasket and rubber breather hose due to being dry and cracked.

Driven approximately 800 km since purchase without issue.

Current known issues:
Original starter sticks occasionally
Oil pan seal has small leak (OEM replacement included)
Paint lifted in 3 small areas along the bottom of windshield seal
Contacts on wiper stalk are dirty and sometimes will need to be jiggled to get it to power the wiper.

German title and TUV paper work included. along with all customs and EPA paperwork from the port of entry. Also includes 2 spare center caps. original owners manual. and original wiper motor.

This truck has a current Vermont registration and plates in my name. Located just north of Philadelphia. PA. I have not transferred the title to PA to save on taxes.

This is a very nice MK1 caddy. rabbit pickup. You will be hard pressed to find another example this solid and clean. Not to mention it was German built and is 5 years newer than any North American rabbit pick up.

A non-refundable deposit of $500 is due within 24 hours of auctions end. Balance due within 7 days. I have no problem storing and or getting the vehicle ready for transport. I welcome and encourage any inquires and inspections before end of auction. This truck is being sold as-is with no warranties implied or expressed.
