1932 AUSTIN SEVEN SPECIAL. Offered from my British collection. my favorite car I have ever owned. I don't even know where to start. This car is in amazing condition. It was restored a few years back. Everything was done. engine gone through. 12 volt conversion with alternator. You can still crank car to start if you wish. it is very easy or it does have conventional electric starter as well. It has the synchro-mesh transmission which came in 1934. Brakes are mechanical so no hydraulics to be concerned with. They were gone through as well and actually stop quite well with firm pedal. Right-hand drive. This car runs and drives amazingly. It is all either steel or aluminum (hood and other bits aluminum) and the only wood anywhere is in the seat base. dash. and front floor which were all done new at restoration time. If you have seen Austin Seven Specials. you know there are no 2 alike. They were all built by owners back in the day. This is one of the best examples I've ever seen. You are hard-pressed to ever find one in the United States. I recently sold my all-original 1972 TR6 and my 1972 all-original Midget that had 27K miles and was showroom. This is the car that I always thought I would never part with. but with several recent surgeries and still more to go. I would rather let it go than see it sit or be pillaged by relatives. I don't know if the 2721 miles are original. but the speedo still works. Original restored moto-meter on radiator still works! This car had absolutely zero rust in steel panels even before the restoration. Finished in a vintage racer mat red. You can drive this around and be a celebrity or go vintage racing like I was going to but never did. Anywhere I take this car it gets all the attention. Clear Florida title as a 1932 Austin. I last drove this car 6 months ago. then drained the fuel tank. fuel line and carburetor since I didn't know when I would be able to drive it again. While I use non-ethanol fuel and stabilizer in all my collector vehicles. I also know not to leave them for long periods with fuel in the system. This car has been kept in my main garage. which is climate controlled with A/C and heat. I've sold a lot of collector cars and motorcycles over the years. but this is the hardest one to let go. The low reserve is but a fraction of the time and money that went into this vehicle and way under what I feel the true value is. Any questions feel free to ask. Car is smaller than a Mini Cooper for comparison and weighs approx 625 pounds. Lightened back in the day by whoever raced it as you can see by the holes in control arms etc. I could go on all day about the cool factor of this car. I have the original fish tail exhaust. horn that mounts on side from 1932 and other bits. I will add to post as I remember things as I'm sure I have left all kinds of great things out. The pictures should do the talking as well. Street legal. tagged and titled. I have the rear tag mount and light off of the car right now. but they bolt right on using the 2 left rear holes. Bid with confidence. I can think of nothing this car needs. Battery was new one year ago but cannot assure how long it will last as has been sitting. but seems to hold charge and has been kept on battery tender like all my vehicles. Thank you for looking. Just added engine picture. Engine bay could use detailing. engine is flat head 4 cylinder. This car has no fluid leaks so your garage floor will stay spotless.

That is not a cover on the steering wheel. The racers back in the day wrapped the steering wheel in cord for better grip.

Bruce Mclaren got his start in an austin seven special. Google Bruce Mclaren austin seven special you tube and you will see his car. this one looks very similar when you take off fenders for vintage race or look.
