1977 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham / 22

Right. here we go. I'm just gauging interest here really. this is my '77 Chrysler New Yorker. its an awesome looking car and soooo big. a true pimp mobile. Its not yet finished really. but almost there.
It looks amazing with the windows down as its a 4 door pillarless. and really adds to the swooping rear screen. the flip headlights and amazing front 'waterfall' grille add to the front end look.

I've previously had lowriders and wanted something different this time. I wanted the 'big wheel' look. so purchased the 22" rims and tyres. they suit the car so well and completely change the stance. I have the original wheels and whitewall tyres too if you wanted to put it back to standard.
After I purchased the car in Feb '12 from the guy I had it off. he said it may need the engine looking at at some time. and sure enough. within 30 minutes of running. the engine seized. main bearings gone. So after a lot of money and time and frustration the engine has been completely rebuilt from scratch (see pics for details) the block has been re-bored over 0. 035" and everything else is new in the engine so is as good as a 'new' engine. currently being run in so only covered about 150 miles so far. the carburetor is a Carter which I was told isn't great but has been tuned. but I have a freshly rebuilt Holley carb to fit.
The car is in really good condition and the chrome bumpers are all good. the body has been sealed from factory so good and solid. Unfortunately whilst it was without a heart over the winter the car was left outside covered up and the water got into the boot and has buggered the steel on the NS behind the arch. I have a guy making a replacement panel and will be fitted as soon as he gets time. as it tucks right under at the back you cant see it. but obviously I want it right.
I'm always so busy with work I don't get chance to really spend any time on it and make it my own. but I've done a few bits to add to the 'pimp' look. and although I've only been running it on trade plates at moment prior to the MOT. everywhere it goes it gets a host of admirers!! not the right car if you don't like being looked at. people always want to talk about it.

The car is at my work should anyone wish to view. and like i say. its just awaiting the replacement panel at the back. MOT and should be good to go.

05/09/2013 - Today car has been dropped off at West Midlands American Autos to have a new SS exhaust fitted and MOT. I'll update once I know more on progress
