This is a 1929 Studebaker President 8 that is recently out of long term storage. The original owners family last had it out in 1976 for the local bicentennial parade then stored it away in a nice dry building until recently taken out to be sold . It is a very nice rust free unrestored car. 125 inch wheelbase. body #7016521. The main body is damage free and has what I beleive to be its original green paint which of course isnt perfect but has a nice rich patina. Still dusty from storage. The fenders appear to have been repainted at some point and have some minor dings and wrinkles as seen in the photos. No previous repairs are evident. One of the wooden running boards has rot. All other wood that I can see on the car. floorboards etc is solid and original. The wood wheels are all solid and damage free. It is missing one hub cap. All four doors open and close beautifully and solidly although the rear drivers door doesnt open from the inside. The glass is all good and unbroken and all windows open and close smoothly. The mohair interior appears to be original and is in fair shape and would be pretty presentable with minor work if you chose to leave the car unrestored. The headliner is surprisingly very nice with no tears or sags. The pull down interior blinds and assist ropes are there intact but showing their age. The horn button is missing but everything else inside appears to be intact and in good shape. The gas tank was removed and cleaned after coming out of storage and  oil and coolant changed.   The 8 cylinder motor runs beautifully and quietly and does not smoke but it is at times hard to get started. I would say the carb should be removed for a good cleaning and tuning since this has not been done. The trans shifts nicely with no issues and all the brakes work as they should. I took the car out on the highway up to 45 mph and it goes straight and true with no issues. The 2 front tires are new and the rears look good and were on the car when purchased. Underneath the chassis and running gear is rust free and in great shape. The original jack and tools are still with the car as is the owners manual. I dont really know what else to say about the car. I do not know a lot about Studebakers but will try to answer all questions the best I can. I am also willing to speak to interested buyers by phone or if you like come and see the car in person. Clear Michigan title.

Many have asked for the model # and I think I found it. It says FHW1.   There is also a plate on the dash that says body by Studebaker.    Willing to store the car up to 30 days once paid in full. Will assist loading.    Car starts and runs beautifully. Since listing took carb fuel intake off and found plugged screen. No more hard starting issue.
