Comments and questions to the seller:

Hi if anyone is still following this thread (in particular Edward Snowden) I purchased this Heinkel around 1986/7 either near Swindon or Abingdon in the UK when I left the RAF. I transported it to my new home in Brading on the IOW and set about putting it back together. It was yellow when I bought it and the painters at ARV Aviation Ltd where I worked at Sandown on the Isle of Wight painted it red for me. I owned and drove it on the Island in the Freshwater area until it was sold sometime between 1995 and 1997

I was still impressed that Heinkel bubble car was still about, so I had a look at my picture of POU 657 , and found something different. My car has a solid roof all over, yours has fabric. The roof is part of another similar bubble car although a later model. My brother in law hit a bus the damage was all one side and roof, it was written off, however he found another Heinkel with much luck and welded the two bits.the.
other car was a 1959/60 The extra bit of windows I left in the car came from the damaged 1960 vehicle. Your car looks so good I think it is a different model, and somehow the number plate s put on yours. I thought you should be aware of the bit of history .

Dear Sir,
with great interest I noticed that you have a bubble car a Henkel POU 657. MY son noticed it online and informed me about it. Well that little car I owned for some time, I am amazed it is still about, although it is now RED. when my children were young they had great fun going out in it, then it was yellow. do you know the history of it? I had it I think 1960 My brother in law gave it to me as they were off to NEW Zealand.

To Stephen Lord, early cars used x2 6 Volt Batteries wired together in series. Try using two 6N11A-4 Batteries, these will fit the small Battery Box...

Hi there.
Maybe you can help me
I have just bought an early heinkel with small battery box 4" square.would you have any info on the battery type and maybe a make and part number.
The battery I was told to get is rectangular and doesn't fit into box
