Up tonight. I have a Nice Gibbons bodied 1933 Packard 180 Convertible Coupe with just 1540 miles on it since it was built in 1988.    It's really a nice mix of classic Styling and Modern Components to make it a nice driver.    I features a Clean Crate Chevy  350 with 350 Turbo transmission.  Power Disc brakes up front with Drum Brakes out back.    Power Steering helps make it easy to maneuver.  Dual  Exhaust helps the 350 breath a little better and gives it gentle rumble.    Fairly recent Radial wide white walls with less than 300 miles keep it tracking right with 2 original style Bias ply tires in the Wells. all these are wrapped over a matched set of 6 Chrome Packard style 16" Wire wheels.   The finish is pretty nice although not perfect.  It has a few Chips and some scratches around the hood opening but you have to look around to see the flaws.  Nothing really jumps out at you. It has a glossy fairly smooth finish with a nice shine.   The most notable thing I found as I looked it over was what looked like someone bumped the front fender on the Right Hand side by the side mount and stressed the glass or just the paint I'm not sure.  Overall the fiberglass is very good with no real checking or spider webs as is common with many fiberglass cars except the one spot I pointed out.   The Chrome is quite nice with no real pitting or significant damage.  It has overall a very nice shine.     The top canvas  is really nice.  I didn't see any tears or stains.    Inside it has a nicely finished Interior with period style Woodgraining. A full compliment of gauges and even Tilt steering as well as Power windows.    The Interior seating surface shows a light Checking.    The Rumble area is nicely finished as well complimenting the interior.    It has been nicely Finished with a few touches that set it off.  including the original Style luggage rack. Golf Club Door. Original Trippe Lights and Packard radiator cap and emblems.   The engine Is Quite clean as you would expect with the usual chrome goodies.    The Undercarriage is very clean as well with good paint and the most insignificant surface rust on a couple of bracket edges and bolt heads.    Really A nice car that's ready to enjoy.      Below is a little Information on the kit that it was built from.
It was one of less than 60 kits that were built by Gibbons using a Factory built original Style Packard type Frame and several individual Fiberglass pieces molded from original Packard parts.  These "kits" Were very expensive in the 1980's at around $28. 00.  That bought you a hinged mounted body with Fenders and Hood as well as a top frame.  the Complete Chassis with front and Rear Chrysler Cordoba suspension installed with brakes excluding lines.  You then had to have the car painted. Plumbed.  Install (Not Included)an engine and Transmission. Exhaust. Tires and Wheels (as it was provided with just rollers).  Have an interior made for it. Provide all the chrome (not Included as well). Have the top frame trimmed out. Gauges and wiring. as well as many other small items I'm sure I'm forgetting.  You can imagine how much was invested at that time to complete this car.    I know my friend takes really good care of it as it's always stored inside and sparingly used.        I'm listing this car for a friend and though I'm not an expert on this type of car I am Fairly knowledgeable about old cars. You can see what I sell in my other Auctions.  I'm a car guy and will honestly answer all questions I can.  What I can't. the owner is more than happy to discuss with serious bidders.   We Urge any serious bidder to come look at the car in person just incase I missed something of importance.  It's really worth the look if you are in the market for a Classic looking convertible that is ready to tour anywheres.    She is being offered for Auction where Is As IS.  Shipping is the responsibility of the owner.  Short term secure indoor storage can be arranged if need be to help coordinate with your shipping company.    A non refundable 1000. 00 Deposit is required in person or by pay pal within 3 days of Auction end.  The balance to be paid within one week by bank transfer or in person.
******While attending the Adirondack Nationals Car show taking place in Lake George NY between September 6th and 8th you will have an excellent opportunity to view the car as it's only a few miles from the show just up route 9 in Warrensburg NY.  Please Contact me to Schedule a showing as the car is always stored inside and can only be viewed by appointment. **********

Hello,

Is this car available for purchase? If it has been sold, may I get in contact with the seller? I have questions about replica Packards sold by Gibbons Replicas.

I personally hand built all the fiberglass components for this vehicle. I took great pride in making them and it still gives me great satisfaction whenever I see one still around!
