Hey folks. br>
I'm selling my daily driven. tin top. 71' camper that I imported from Nevada last year as I have a pop top westy on its way and need the room to work on it.

The full details of what's been done are below but to sum it up its a 1971. rust free Nevada import with a decent. period camping interior. long MOT and free tax that I extensively overhauled and am using as a daily driver.

What's been done:

. New window rubbers (including quarter glass)
. New door seals
. New hatch seal
. New sliding door seal

. New accelerator cable
. New fuel pipes and filter
. New carb
. New exhaust
. Engine setup professionally for MOT and redone again the other week

. Gear linkage rebuilt and setup properly including the pin in the gear stick base that you can't buy anywhere ;-)

. New UK headlights
. Other lights converted to MOT spec

. Steering coupling replaced

. New rear dampers

. New tyres

. Flushed out and fully replaced the brake fluid
. New front brake hoses
. New rear shoes
. New rear wheel cylinders
. Rear brakes adjusted
. Hand brake adjusted

. All CV gaiters replaced
. All ball joint gaiters replaced

. Leisure battery and split charger fitted (but I need to swap a couple of connections round so it charges properly)
. Basic 240v hook up with the connector in the engine bay on the left and the plugs tucked away into the rear cabinet.

. Uk registration sorted
. MOT'd
. Taxed

Its running standard ride height and the sink. electric water pump. fridge and battery indicator all work but I haven't fitted the waste pipe yet as I didn't fancy cutting a hole in the floor (didn't know if I'd change interior or not) but I can do that before sale if required.

I removed. cleaned and lubed both front lock/handle assemblies a couple of moths back and while I was at it I cavity waxed the doors. took pics and sealed them up with a membrane so the door cards won't get damp anymore.

The van has one key which will open all the locks but I had to fit a new ignition barrel so has a separate one to start it (also have spares of each).

The headliners missing in the rear but there is a section above the front seats. bit saggy though. Great fun for irritating tall friends with :-)

The photo of the drivers cab floor shows a tiny hole about an inch long and half inch wide about where the heel of your left foot sits. hadn't spotted it before as it was hidden under some crud that I swept out before taking the photo. It's the only bit of grotty metal I could find though.

SUMMARY ETC.

Basically your buying a very solid and straight rot free bus with a decent camping interior that's had an extensive mechanical overhaul ensuring its safe for me to drag my kids about in. Its taxed. mot'd. registered and ready to drive away today. And as a bonus with all the money that's been spent on new seals etc you can even park it outside in the rain and not worry about getting soggy! ;-)

If I'm being critical then there are a couple of small jobs to do like new front seat covers and a headlining. Also purely for aesthetics you might be inclined to have a respray at some point just to tidy it up (assuming you enjoy worrying about people at shows. car parks and campsites bumping into it etc) but this isn't like the £8k British rot boxes you find advertised so if your looking for a rolling project then this would make a perfect base or just use it daily like me instead!

PRICE:

It's ready to go right away without anything needed if you're after a camper van to use. I'm asking £7000ono but if you have a Notchback or Squareback you want rid of then there may well be negotiation.

PHOTOS:

eBay will only let me upload 12 but I have a folder on my PC with over a hundred different pics and can take more on request if you need. Please just message me with your email address and I'll get back to you with them as soon as I can.

The ones I've used are basically to show how straight and rot free the van is hence ones of the jacking points. floors. sills. gutters etc. Again I have loads more like this if you need them.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

YOU BID TO BUY NOT KICK TYRES! Of course your welcome to view before you bid and there's plenty of time to do so before the auction ends but if you bid and win then that's the price you pay.  No excuses.

The vehicle is “sold as seen” with no warranties implied or given. Feel free to bring a mechanic to inspect it before you bid if you're in any way unsure about what you're doing.

PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS! My contact details are on the advert and I can also be messaged via eBay so please ask any questions that you have. I'd rather make sure that you're 100% clear on what you're buying before you bid than have problems with the sale later.

The vehicle is located in Banbury just off junction 10 M40. if that's too far for you to travel I'm happy to work with your vehicle shipper or recommend my own. I could even arrange it for you if you require. which negates the excuse of “sorry didn't realise how far you were away. ”

Alternatively I'd be happy to deliver up to 60 miles for £1. 50 per mile

Thanks for reading my advert!

Rich
