1972 Dodge Challenger 440 Big Block V8 Mopar

Hello up for sale is my 1972 Dodge Challenger 440. the car is in very good overall condition and has had much money spent. details are as follows. /span>

The engine is a 440 big block V8 bored . 030 over that was fully rebuilt about 4 years ago. this included six pack rods and mostly new parts.

The cam is a Comp Cams unit which is designed for maximum torque.

It has a 750cfm 4 barrel Holley carb.

New Holley fuel pump.

As you'd expect the car goes very well and has great oil pressure.

Series 40 Flowmaster exhausts. it is quite loud which is half the fun of driving the car.

Edelbrock air cleaner.

Edelbrock valve covers.

Electric fan.

Power steering. just fitted a new pressure hose.

Power brakes. discs on front.

The transmission is a 727 Torqueflite Automatic with a forward pattern manual valve body. the transmission was fully rebuilt about 4 years ago. it shifts perfect with no issues. if you're unfamiliar with what a manual valve body is. it's basically a semi-automatic transmission. you have to go through the gears manually. "D" only acts as 3rd gear. great fun without having to bother with a clutch.

New KYB front shock absorbers and bushings.

New rear leaf springs and bushings.

The car has been partially tubbed at the rear to allow for big slicks in the past.

The car is painted in gloss black and looks stunning. the paint and bodywork is very good overall with only some very small imperfections. mainly a few small blisters on the boot lid.

An RT Bonnet was fitted a few years back.

15" American Racing Torq Thrust D Wheels in very good condition.

Tyres are 255/60/15 on the rear with 215/65/15 on the front. they all have good tread on them.

Interior is black vinyl/cloth in very good overall condition.

Carpet. headliner. centre console. door cards and dash all in good condition.

The factory temperature gauge is not working however there is a working digital temperature gauge as well as a working digital oil pressure gauge.

it also has an Autometer Tachometer fitted to the dash.

Odometer reads 95. 54 Miles.

Just passed it's MOT so MOT'd till August 2014

Taxed till July 2014. it is exempt anyway.

So to conclude. this is a stunning car and a lot of fun. the attention the car gets through town is amazing. the car gets driven so it's not concourse but is in very nice all round condition. i've done my best to describe the car to the best of my ability however I would expect anyone seriously interested to come and view the car first.
