1964 VOLKSWAGEN SAMBA Camper RED/WHITE for sale

Hi. and welcome to this auction for our beloved 1964 Splitty. Please note  This is the Deluxe  21 window 'SAMBA' model. with full rear sunroof 
We have owned her for the last 7 years and have recently spent a fortune bringing her up to her current standard.
Before we embarked on this project she was totally original. However. my wife refused to drive the bus. due to the dodgy steering and brakes - common with all these old buses!
Therefore. I replaced the steering box with rack & pinion and fitted disc brakes to the front axle. Whilst doing this. the suspension was replaced and the axles turned to lower the body.
She has a re-conditioned 1600cc engine & gearbox. (2012).
The interior was stripped and completely refitted in 2012. retaining the original colour scheme. A rock & roll bed all new window seals and Safari front windows were fitted at this time.
She is a great runner and the gearbox is like silk!
The paintwork is good. but not perfect. and is bubbling around the seals for the Safari windows.
All-in-all. over the past 3 years I have spent in excess of £25. 00 on the refurbishment alone!
I am only selling her due to lack of space to keep her in top condition and I have not had the time to enjoy her over the past couple of years.
