1988 LANCIA DELTA HF INTEGRALE 4WD - requires some love

1988 Lancia Delta HF 8v Integrale 4WD

One of a small number of Integrales converted to RHD most probably by Mike Spence Ltd when new

Unused for the last couple of years & in need of some attention.

The GOOD NEWS

Starts & runs
Body not especially rusty - in fact quite good
Interior not especially worn - would clean up quite well
Engine etc seems healthy with good oil pressure & no rattles
Low Mileage - only 56. 00 - supported by extensive documentation
Rather smart aftermarket wheels (Speedline?)
Loads of bills with Lancia specialists inc recon turbo. diff & cylinder head rebuild Unlikely to find a cheaper Integrale


The NOT SO GOOD NEWS

Somebody rubbed the bonnet down for respray. but then never resprayed it
It has a vinyl roof that covers the original steel sunroof. a bit . errr. odd
Rear hatch paintwork is rather dull & miserable
Various bushes clonk
Low mileage - low mileage cars just get lazy & never work properly
TPS sensor loose/ignition leads/plugs etc all could do with replacement
No brakes - at least one brake pipe knackered
Radio deserted leaving a tasteful hole
Two small corroded areas in inner wing near strut tops will need welding
Poor thing generally looks a bit pathetic& . of course. no MOT or Tax

So. a weekends work & little money would probably get it up & usable but to get it shiny
would require rather more effort.
Remember - this is a car being sold for recomissioning/restoration. and it is a Lancia. soexpect to find other defects & lots & lots of things to keep you busy

ADDITIONAL INFO. & ANSWERS TO SOME QUERIES!
YES. it is a genuine Integrale . not a 1. 6HF with big arches. so 2. 0 litre. 4WD etc etcYES. there is a logbook & Yes. it says it is an Integrale!NO. no MOT. no Tax. no brakes. just like it says in the descriptionNO. i don't really know what has been going on with the 'sunroof'. it looks as though it originally had a steel sunroof which has been removed & replaced with a sealed metal panel        From the outside the whole thing is not really noticeable as it has a carbon look black /vinyl ?roof. From the inside you are left with a visible panel & dangley edges to the headlining        . it will need sorting. Either replace with a sunroof or . fit a trimmed panel & tidy the headliningNO. i can't really say anything useful about the way it drives cos i've only driven it (brakeless) around the yard. YES . i can tell you about the specialists who have worked on it . big bills from Barry Waterhouse Eng. Scheldt & Pettet. ItaliaTech. Gonnellla Brothers. but this is all over 10 years ago (though not many miles ago)          & much of it is each one redoing what the last one did! But this is the joy of 'Specialists'YES. It does have a spare wheel (well someone did ask so maybe otjers want to know). space saver thing which sits vertical in the boot taking up space NO. no obvious significant bubbling anywhere on the exterior that i can see but paintwork generally dirty/dull/miserableYES. it does seem like a good RHD conversion with even the correct RHD wiper arcs etc etc & steering seems high geared etc etcYES. Exhaust looks sound & is not obviously blowing  - in fact much of it look reasonable new. however it does not have twin tailpipe exit . just big silencer box accross the car at the back with single big outletNO. can't guarantee there wont be other bits of welding other than the spots i've mentioned . however much of the underside seems to be waxoiled. in fact i cant guarantee anything!
