Show Winning 1963 VW Beetle Custom Hot Rod - US Import, 1641cc, All Steel

Well the time has finally come to offer for sale my beautiful bug cos I'm off in my van to Spain for a while and she deserves a better life than being kept in storage.

This car was 'created' in California. it's not Cal-Look. it's the real thing! I don't have the history but she won at least one award over there in 2005. In 2007 she arrived in the UK and was proudly displayed in a car showroom for the next 3 years. I purchases her late in 2010 and had her registered. taxed and mot'd by early 2011.

The first time I displayed the car in 2011 was at Santa Pod's Big Bang 'show & shine' competition where she won the 'Best Custom' award. Since then she has picked up a couple more and been in newspapers. magazines and on the web. She always attracts attention and is often photographed.

She was chopped about 50% at the front and 40% at the back. With big & little tyres. she has a lovely rack to the bodyline. The twin carb. twin port. 1600+ engine was 'modified' in the US. She's ultra reliable. runs and sounds great with brilliant road holding too (gas shocks all round really help). Will cruise all day at 70 but can do 80. returning 30mpg. 12 volt alternator upgrade. All steel body panels. all glass (no perspex). no signs of welding. All Empi style wheels and tyres are like new. Obviously. she's left hand drive (LHD).
