Jaguar XJS Convertible 5.3lt V12

 Extremely sad sale of my wife's  Big Cat. Through unexpected job loss having to sell it. Consequently had to give up the garage we kept it in and don't want it to sit outside. If we win the lottery (I wish!) then will cancel the auction and keep it.
 It is a 1991 and has done approximately 68. 00 miles although had a new speedometer which reads 31. 00. This change is noted in the service records by the main Jaguar dealer who fitted it.  
 Definitely this is an appreciating classic car.
 We have never had a problem with it and always been utterly reliable. Purrs effortlessly along and incredibly comfortable.  
 It is in a beautiful Jaguar blue with dark blue carpets with cream leather upholstery.  Gorgeous walnut  dashboard and door panels. Fitted with the leaping Jaguar bonnet mascot. My wife once came back to find a saucer of milk placed in front of it. Always getting compliments about the car. a real head turner.  
 The radio is a top of the range DAB with both a multi CD player and has a fold down front which reveals a cassette player.
 It has a original Jaguar computer which works well.
 For insurance purposes it is fitted with a Laserline immobilser / alarm system. This is a quality  automatically locking out the ignition system if engine is stopped for a short period. Drives me nuts if stopped at a railway crossing!

 New MOT on 25th July 2016. It had a lot of work done to the underside as well as replacement brake calipers and water pump. Also had the drop link and front shock absorber bushes replaced. It will have a new battery for the sale.
 It has just had a brand new hood tailor made and fitted. The hood mechanism works faultlessly and has the top cover for when folded down.
 Six years ago we had it put into a body shop and had all rust removed that could be seen. But a couple of very small bubbles have just appeared on each wheel arch. please see picture. Also the front bumper has a tiny hole in it which has been there all the time we have had it and never got any worse. again please see picture.
 The car is in reasonable condition for its age. although I believe it could do with a service and perhaps more rubber bushes replaced. As it is 26 years old. consequently will not be perfect.  
 There is a occasional slight knock from underneath if on a rough road and was told by the garage that it was the exhaust just touching something. The cruise control does not work but could be something simple although never seen the need for it. When the water pump was fitted the garage drained the Air Conditioning gas so if you want it working again. would need to be refilled. Seems strange to have AC on a convertible!
