1973 Triumph GT6 for sale
Current customer rating: (296 votes ) based onI'm selling my Mk3 GT6 finished in Mimosa yellow (more mustard than yellow) a great period colour. which really sets off the lines of a GT6. the paint work is good. has been repainted at some point and if I was to keep it. I would look to either repaint it or repaint localised areas around the car.
The car gets lots of compliments when out and about. as it is a smart looking GT6 and in a rare colour.
The interior is in lovely condition. the seats/carpets and headlining are perfect. the dash is a dark walnut veneer and looks stunning.
The last three photos show the blemishes - very very minor surface bubbles on the front of the roof seam and rear panel (just below rear number plate). a couple of minor imperfections elsewhere. However. as you can see from the photos the overall condition is very nice.
It has been MoTed till end of July 2017 and a full service has just been carried out.
Fitted with K&N filters. a tubular manifold and GT twin exit system. making this car sound glorious. It starts first time. no smoke. no issues. o rattles. the gearbox and clutch are perfect. the overdrive kicks in and out. as intended. The water temperature operates at just under halfway on the temperature gauge. assisted by the Kenlowe fan and shroud. which automatically switches on at a pre-set temperature.
Work completed on the car over the past 1500-2000 miles:
New alternator BatteryOil coolerFront brake caliper rebuiltGearbox full rebuild and clutch replaced
Carbs overhauled and tuned
New electronic ignition system
New heater matrix and hoses
Both front and rear bumpers re-chromed All of this completed with in the last 2000 miles
A great GT6 that has had a ton of money sensibly spent on it to upgrade it. so that it could feasibly be used as an everyday vehicle.
It can be improved upon. but only on the areas outlined above. most people would use it as is and even taking to a classic car show. it would not be out of place in its current condition.
I won't be spending hours reciting chapter. verse to emails received. please pick up the phone and ill be only to happy to walk you around the car. like wise if you wish to view. more than happy to show you the car. but please no weekend browsers
Please see my other listing.
If you bid you buy.
