Here we have a 1973 pre-facelift (sloping dash) Cortina Mark 3 1600 auto. Now before we go any further. please make no mistake. This vehicle is in stunning condition. It has covered just 54. 00 miles in 43 years and has the most amazing hand written history with it in the shape of a notebook documenting everything ever spent until a few years ago when the mileage was at 50. 00. That means every gallon of petrol dated. every service. everything ever done to the car right down to the last hose clip! This was also the Cortina owned by a member of management at Dagenham Ford. It is in truly amazing condition!

Her panel work is super and her paintwork fantastic. There is no hint of rust on this car. not even on the wing tips. the arches or on the bottoms of the doors. Even both valances are in incredible order as are both engine bay and boot. Her interior is beautiful in every respect.

She drives likes a dream and the auto gearbox is a delight. None of this "sloppy. what gear is this" routine. It operates like new. Personally. I have just tended to leave her in Drive and enjoy the kick down experience.

She has an MoT until June 2017 and I very much doubt you will manage to find a more impressive -  and un-modified - Cortina 1600L than this. The best Mark 3 I have owned without a doubt and a pampered car which deserves a new and loving home.

From what I can tell. her underside has not been welded. She is as honest as you will get.
