I am the third owner. Saw it parked on the street in the hollywood hills and had to have it because I had one back in 1969. but had to sell it. I put a note on it every week for about 2 months until I got a knock on my door. A young man appeared and said he had a pile of notes of want to be buyers but never wanted to sell. but he and his brother were heading back to texas to pursue music. He saved my name and number because i was so passionate about it! I ran straight to the bank to purchase and swore never to sell it. but times have changed. I have taken this the lakes. the beach. and even mammoth! The happiest of experiences! I have a fantastic austrian mechanic in burbank names Bella VW service who has taken sole care of it! All service records are available. Some of the features include: security cigarette lighter to turn on ignition. Back pulls out into bed. New vintage seat covers. reduced decibel muffler
