Having just completed a 60-mile classic car rally. at considerable pace. in this TR3. we can attest to what a fantastically sorted driver's TR this is. It did not skip a beat throughout the entire event and proved itself to be a quick car with fantastically balanced handling. This is in no small part due to some of the changes that were made to the car when it was built around six years ago. These include uprated suspension with a front anti-roll bar. steering rack conversion and brake servo. We know the rebuilt engine has larger pistons and liners to increase its capacity. and we're convinced there's a hotter cam in there too given how strongly it pulls. The gearbox is slick and quiet with a working overdrive. and the brakes are very powerful without any fading even after prolonged use. This car was built by a guy who had previously built a concours-winning TR3. but this car wasn't built to win prizes at shows. it was built to be driven. Being an ex-US car that's been converted to right-hand drive and now wears a TR3a body. it won't suit those who want a matching numbers car that's original down to the last rivet. however it will very much suit the TR enthusiast who is interested in a well sorted driving car. The car was built around six years ago from the ground up. As such it's extremely good underneath – nicely finished with zero corrosion. all new suspension components and a great chassis. Equally the body is rust free with nice paintwork. new stainless steel bumpers. new grill and chrome wire wheels. The interior is to original specification in black and features a very potent uprated heater (a welcome change!) and a smaller Moto Lita wood-rim steering wheel. There's a full tonneau in excellent order and weather gear (hood and side screens) which are older but still useable. For a quick sale leave your mobile number through your message !
