1976 TRIUMPH SPITFIRE 1500 ORANGE

Triumph Spitfire 1500cc. This car was Stored in a Barn for over 20 years on Blocks I rescued it last year and have spent vast amounts of cash transforming it into what you see today.    

It is now offered for sale with full years MOT Expiry 7th April 2014 [not taxed] This is the more desirable model fitted with overdrive in 3rd and 4th gear. The mileage reads 12060 but the true mileage is approximately 75000 as the Speedo was changed in 1988 I have a folder of invoices old MOTs and various documentation that will be given to the new owner. It has had many new parts – three part clutch. rear brake cylinders. brake pipes renewed with copper. clutch master cylinder new battery still with 2 year guarantee. 4 new tyres. front and rear exhaust system. track rod ends. various oil seals gaskets and bushes. Plus more that I have probably missed.

The body work is solid apart from some minor imperfections I have photographed the worst. the interior is clean and tidy fitted with a radio CD player. In the boot which again is solid is a tonneau cover spare wheel and jack.

This is an ideal car for anyone wishing to enter the classic car market for the first time most parts have been renewed or renovated and any future parts can be easily sourced from specialist companies on the net. But as with all Classic cars they do require maintenance and general tinkering so please do not expect to have years of trouble free motoring. in my view this is the appeal of owning a classic.
