Simca Aronde 90A.

1958 Simca Aronde 90A Fitted with a later "Rush" 1300cc engine from a Aronde P60. This engine has a five bearing crank. The car is said to be one three road worthy 90A's in the UK. In recent times it has been recommissioned after a long period of time off the road and I have subsequently attended a number of local classic car shows in it.

It has been fitted with a new battery. four replacement tyres. all new brake pipes and flexible hoses. the brake master cylinder has been rebuilt using a very comprehensive rebuild kit.

More recently it has been fitted with a new condenser. speedometer cable and has had a thorough de-coke. valves reground etc.

The interior of the car is in very good condition. there are no rips. tears or damage to the seats. the head lining is very clean and looks perfect.

The exterior looks very smart. the chrome is excellent with no damage. There are however some blemishes in the maroon paint work - for example some bubbling towards the bottom of the doors (see pictures). some blemishes on the boot lid and an area of the roof where the paint finish has been effected. possible as a result of the car being covered up for sometime.

There is wear in the indicator switch and the door lock but both are still in working order. The fuel gauge work erratically and the horn is no longer operated by the horn ring.

The car is and always has been right hand drive but apparently because so few Aronde 90A's were imported into the UK. Simca did not change the door lock to the right hand side - the only exterior door lock is on the passenger door.

The car qualifies for free road tax and although it does not legally require and MOT. it does have a current MOT that expires 31st August 2017. There were no advisories.

The car will be sold with a service manual and a Simca service ring binder containing 1960s service bulletins for the Simca 1000. Aronde. Ariane and Vedette. There are few papers with the car including a certificate issued when the car was awarded first in class at a Simca event at Ragley Hall in 1998. The V5c is present and in my name. I also have the old buff and green log books.

Viewing welcome. There is no buy it now price. Collection with in 10days of auction ending. CASH ON COLLECTION.
