This is a much regretful sale of a much loved car. The Capri has with it one of the most comprehensive history files I have ever seen with the service book containing all monies ever spent on the car to exact detail. There is also a massive file containing all paper work on the car from new including the original sales receipt and call back documentation from Gates Ford in London. There is also original letters from the first owner about the call back of the car and the return. This continues right through the cars life. and it really makes this car special. all Mots. all tax discs. all original book pack material all original keys (2). one of them the original torch key that still works…. !! There is also an original petrol cap. original Ford mats. original dealer plates. and original first tax disc proudly shown in the front windscreen. The spare is in the mint under floor area and it has never been used as has the jack and original Ford tools.

The car its self is outstanding and is so original it reflects the sheltered life that it has led. The car has only 3 owners from new the first two been the husband and wife. and the wife put it in her name after the death of her husband. The Laser was registered in London at Gates Ford and when the couple moved to Norfolk they brought the Capri with them. It was then sold to my good friend in the village who passed it on to me.

The car has all original glass. switch gear and original Ford mats and receipts in the paper work to show how much they were….   The car also wears four Goodyear tyres to original spec but these are replacements as the originals were cracked. The interior is totally original and untouched. and is as Ford intended. The paint work is all original apart from the two rear quarters where the original owners' wife caught them on the garage doors. and so these were repaired and resprayed. This is all evidenced in the history of the car.   The body has all original panels and a detailed engine bay that attracts attention at shows. There are no usual Capri problems at all with this car; the sunroof works fully. and the aperture is the cleanest I have ever seen on a Capri. The heater works on all speeds and the dash was replaced by me as it was split when I got the car. It has been fully sorted by me with the list of what I did to the car when I bought it as it deserved it as it was so original…

Replace the front bumper on the car as it was stone chipped.

Fit new exhaust. Sportex 2''

Fit replacement new dash (lots of cracks in original). /span>

Replace needles on instruments due to sun damage. /span>

Refirb of all four alloy wheels. /span>

Replace front brake disks due to judder on front axle. /span>

Replace and fix the plastic recline mechanism on the front seat. /span>

Replace the Electronic Radio due to fault on speaker pick up. /span>

Service. clean. and replace service parts. oil in engine. gearbox. and rear axle.  

Clean and degrease engine bay. detail and dress engine bay.

Strip clean and repaint cam cover and radiator air cover. /span>

Replace clock for correct colour dials.

To do list

Replace strange Italian Dellorto carburettor. and replace with Webber or FoMoCo carb

Included in the sale of the car is an original VV car it's a new one and if I were to keep the Laser I would fit it as it would add to the cars originality. There are also other spares included I have replaced for better items such as the steering wheel and a refurbished manifold.

This car needs for nothing and just needs to be driven and enjoyed it is a lovely car it pains me to sell such a good car. It is only due to my circumstances of relocation that I must sell. also it is a well-known car on the show circuit and I'm the Chairman of the King Lynn Capri club. the car has had every necessary item replaced with Ford original parts. e. g. Ford oil filters and oil and proper spec Ford Coolant.

I hope the car is enjoyed and looked after as it has since 1987.
