If you are into early stacked headlamp Mercedes then this is a great project for you.
Believed to have been either a South African or Australian import. imported into the UK 1979 (Hence the V reg plate). according to Mercedes VIN decoder it is in fact a 1972 car.

Purchased recently as a non runner. it clearly has had quite a bit of money and love spent on it over the years.  
It was last on the road in 2010 and I have not attempted to start it. but with 63. 00 miles it should be healthy enough. I have checked and it turns freely and the low pressure increases nicely when cranking. The fuel pump operates. but no doudt with stale fuel drained and a thorough service it will fire into life without a problem. It has had at some point a repaint. not sure whether it was originally berline blue. but it has stood the test of time quite well. although if I was to keep it I would look into putting into the dark Metallic blue I believe the car could have been before the repaint. No major rust. a couple of blisters here and there and one jacking point is crusty. the floors are perfect.
Interior is nice. seats and carpets are all very good. headlining and door cards are again very nice.
Best for any interested parties to come and have a look. a very very straight forward restoration and W108 280se 3. 5  RHD is the one to have.
