1968 PORSCHE 911L COUPE

We have for sale this stunning 1968 Porsche 911L. short wheel base Coupe. The U. S. L model was just like the European S model. except power is 130HP and not 160HP. It has front and rear anti roll bars and did have the S rocker and bumper trims but we have removed these. Imported by ourselves from California. the car was running and driving but needed some tlc. The minimal rust issues. outer sills. some work on the bottom of the inner front wings. a new front suspension panel. and new rear seat wells have been attended to superbly one of the best classic Porsche metal workers Lionel's Bodyshop. who share our premises here. The rear LHS bumper corner has had the exhaust cut out filled and a twin pipe sport exhaust is being fitted. The car has been repainted in Light Ivory white. which was a very popular colour for the competition cars. Original colour was Bermuda yellow. One new and one rust free used front wings were fitted and the car has never had any accident damage. The floor pan is all original as is the whole underside which has been cleaned. hammerited and completely tectyled.

        A set of original steel wheels. 6 by 15 rear and 5. 5 by 15 front have been fitted with a custom offset on the fronts so the car sits great. a new headliner has been fitted and all the original carpets cleaned along brand new lightweight door panels fitted. Period. original fabric Recaro sport seats are fitted along with an original Momo Jacky Ickx steering wheel. The front trunk carpets have been cleaned and there is a full correct toolkit. spare wheel and original. restored jack. The car comes with an original drivers handbook. road registered and a full mot.

            Period Porsche Scripts in black are fitted above the rockers each side and add to this cars period competition look. This car will stand out well in any Porsche event and represents very good value for a short wheel base car that did not need a full restoration.

        A few more nice parts on this car are. a superb original front hood badge. excellent original chrome door handles. a recovered original dash top with original top piece. with speaker perforations. Original H1 headlights in excellent condition. nice original rear turn signals. fronts have new lenses fitted to original backings. Perfect original rear gold anodised Porsche letters and 911L badge. Nice original anodised aluminium door rope. rear corner windows and front and rear screen inserts. Mostly new rubbers including the correct style door rubbers. only available in the U. K. from us! Nice original 68 only break away style original mirror. Very good original sun visors. Excellent original exterior mirror. Original wiper arms with new German blades and original horn grills. Excellent original and correct 3 bar engine lid grill. All original catches and latches. cleaned but not re-chromed.

        This car has not been fully restored and apart from rubbers has only original period parts on it. We have the Porsche Kardex build sheet for the car and it came with the green tinted glass it still has. it looks great with the Light Ivory paintwork. The motor is a later 2. 4 litre T spec with 130 horsepower and more torque than the original. The original steering rack cover has been replaced with a better one and the fuel tank removed. cleaned out and repainted. We highly recommend viewing. the car is located in Southend-on-Sea.
