1972 TRIUMPH TR6 WHITE

The TR6 was introduced by Triumph in 1968 as a replacement for the TR5.   The bodies of each of the cars are similar. but the TR6 was redesigned at the front and the back by Karmann. and it is this redesign that gives the TR6 its iconic squared off look.   The cars are powered by the Triumph TR250 2. 5 litre engine matched with a four speed gearbox.   These cars were almost classics whilst they were still being manufactured and sold well all around the world.  My car is in Old English white with a blue roof and interior.   It has 63. 00 apparently original miles. and has been extremely well-maintained.   It was originally sold new to the USA. but was repatriated to the UK as long ago as 1989 when it was converted to right-hand drive.   Since then there have only been three keepers. a Mr Jackson from Barnsley. and a Mr Liswis from Eastleigh.  I have a stack of invoices on file showing that several thousand pounds have been spent maintaining the car over the years. together with MOTs going back to 1994 that evidence the mileage.  Numerous upgrades seem to have been carried out. and in particular. there is an invoice for conversion of the engine to unleaded fuel.   The car presents extremely well and runs on carburettors as all the US cars did.   This fuelling system. whilst less powerful than the fuel injection system. is considered by many to be more reliable.  This is an opportunity to acquire an excellent TR6. in fine cosmetic and mechanical order. with an new MOT. ready to drive away.
This is a very reluctant sale and its only a house buy that is forcing the sale.
