Selling on behalf of the customer and a car that i personally owned a few years ago.
1973 UK car
Emerald Green (original colour code 65)
Before I go on you need to know that this is not your normal run of the mill TR6 for starters it is fitted with very rare race prepared Bill Blydenstein cylinder head.
This man sadly is no longer with us. he was one of the most famous and renowned cylinder head and engine builders in the country and responsible for the works Vauxhall racing cars during the seventies and eighties among many other successes.
Anyone who knows what Bill could achieve will fully appreciate what has been done to this head. what value this head is worth alone. I don't know.

I bought the car in august 2010 having just had the body work done and painted but not in running condition.
The car. up until 2010 had been off the road in storage since 1996 where the former keeper had previously had the engine. gearbox and axle rebuilt for fast road use so not much mileage done since then!
In 2010 i re-commissioned the car with work done by Chris Conoley at Mass Racing Developments where the engine was originally built. I have a print out of the rolling road test showing 174 bhp.
So if your looking for a good solid car with loads of power and rarity then this could be the one for you
Non matching CP engine Built to race spec in 1995 including tufrided crank. high lift cam. stainless valves. aluminium bronze guides and lightened flywheel etc.
This included the Blydenstein gas flowed race spec cylinder head.
I completely overhauled the injection system in 2011 with new metering unit/pressure test point . racing Bosch fuel pump kit / modified prv and new injectors all set up and purchased from Prestige Engineering.
High performance Magnaspark electronic ignition. distributor cap and red rotor.
Red devil high performance coil supplied from the Distributor Doctor.
Extractor manifold. stainless system with custom miltek rear silencer fitted. (with great sound)
2016 the engine has just had new piston rings. gaskets etc to freshen the engine up again. although it will need rolling road tuning when run in.
Rebuilt 1993 with new clutch and has overdrive 2nd 3rd and 4th.
2011 New Clutch master cylinder
Non standard 3. 8 diff
2013 rear axle rebuilt £1000
2010 brakes all round including discs. drums and wheel cyl kits etc . Front callipers overhauled. various brake pipes and braided hoses fitted where necessary. New brake master cylinder also fitted.
2011 new Gaz adjustable shocks with 420lb uprated and lowered springs fitted all round.
New FIA approved rear shock mounting brackets
In 2009 new floor pans. inner and outer sills. outer wings. inner wings repaired where necessary. No work required to chassis and still looks solid although the very rear tips of the chassis section have worn a bit thin. The car was then totally repainted and under sealed at the time
Door gaps and bonnet caps are very good all round
The Paint work itself isn't perfect but still very presentable as you can see by the pictures. no bubbles or rust coming through any where.
New vinyl soft top fitted 2010 but could do with a clean up and some attention to make good again
Both bumpers could do with refurbishing to make good again
2010 Complete new interior carpets and door cards etc fitted with a pair of used condition classic cobra seats (not suitable for the bigger guys I may add).
Moto-Lita 14” flat steering wheel.
Very nice original Motolita radio fitted with mobile phone conversion lead
I have about £18000 worth of bills going back to the early 80s and various mot's dating back to 1991
including the extensive engine work etc carried out in the nineties.
I spent about £3000 myself in 2010/2011 and since then the current owner has spent a further £2000 or so which we have bills to support
As I said a very good car but not a show car.
Needs a little time and effort spent on it again to make really good.
MOT expires in Feb 2017
