I purchased this Triumph based Buggatti look alike nearly two years ago. it had been in a garage I found out recently since 1982 and was in a sorry state.  As shown in the end pictures.
The chassis is a 1969 Triumph Herald I had limited space so the car went to CVS classics in Norfolk. where it was stripped down.  An outrigger was  replaced and everything was undersealed. I have all the bills from CVS.
The original engine was seized and removed. The nose was then shortened. I sourced a triumph spitefire engine mk3 (1300) which was rebuilt by CVS. Also running on unleaded fuel. All new brakes and pipes fitted.
The body is all aluminium and was built in the 70s I don't know if this was an apprentice project or just a home build. but it was well before Teal started building there replicas. I believe the car was in the Sheffield area.
New seat and flooring and a couple of weeks ago a new exhaust which is a stright through so you get a nice sound. The handbrake is from a 1947 chevy truck and was refitted on the outside for a better look and also the bench seat replaced the two very mice eaten seats. A refurbished set of bigger wire wheels from the old 14" with new tryres. all went on.
A complete respray and "bella" was complete. The mechanical side of things completed the mot was passed with no advisories.
Being honest there are still a few things to make "bella" smarter . I would proberly redo the interior sides and change the dashboard and clocks. they are currently triumph and the fuel gauge needs connecting. The Mot is until May 2017 so historic free tax.
I have had a ball in this car in the few months I have had her out and you certainly get noticed and you tend to smile a lot.
Sadly my other half is not fond of the 1930's organic style of wind in the hair driving. I have to admit a flying helmet and goggles do not suit her. So here we are for sale and ready for a new project.
The car is based in Hertfordshire AL9. Cash or bank transfer prior to collection. Any questions please ask or call 07967 609503.
