Hi this is the auction for my 1980 ford escort mk2. br>I have owned this car for 25 years. I bought it in 1988. br>It was a standard 1300 popular plus when I got it. br>It has changed a few times with a few different engines. br>As you see the car here. I built it in 1994/1995 and ran it at

Ultimate fast car 1995. br>This is the spec of the car as I built it-
Bodyshell- all steel panels except bonnet which is GRP. br>New front wings. front panel. slam panel. front valance. br>And they are all genuine ford panels. br>Monte carlo alloy arches. br>Painted Porsche mint green!
Inside is a multi point safety devices cage. Kevlar seats. br>6 point harnesses. plumbed in lifeline extinguisher. battery box. br>Running gear- cosworth YB engine. borg warner T5 cosworth gearbox. specially made one piece prop shaft. atlas axle with LSD. br>Turreted LEDA rear coilovers and 5linked axle. br>Coilover leda front strutts with alloy eccentric top mounts. br>Brakes- sapphire cosworth group A front discs with cosworth 4 pot calipers. rears are cosworth discs and calipers. and bias pedal box. br>Under the bonnet is an rs500 intercooler and radiator with twin cooling fans. alloy header tank and alloy catch tank. full cosworth wiring loom and P8 module with pectel board and 400bhp chip. br>Wheels are compomotive 5 spoke magnesium wheels. br>NOW FOR A BIT OF HISTORY-
As I said I built it in 1994/1995. hen took it to santa pod. br>After that I took the engine out to build a quicker one as I now had the bug for going faster!….
BUT. a wife. two kids and two houses later I never got round to doing it!….
So the car has been sitting in my garage with no engine in it for 18years. br>Two years ago I decided to do the engine but build a cosworth YB with a pinto head. br>So I bought all the bits to do this. br>I made an adaptor plate to fit the YB inlet manifold to the pinto head. br>I have all the bits needed to build the engine with the exeption of gaskets and a turbo profile cam which are available from kent. piper or newman cams!…
And an exhaust manifold is also needed to fit the escort cosworth T34 turbo to the pinto head!….
The car also has a full stainless steel exhaust system. br>It has a 4 padel cerametalic clutch. 3 bar map sensor. grey motorsport injectors. br>As you can see from the photo's the car is in very good condition. br>The car has never been used for motorsport and has never been crashed so this is a very clean straight shell. br>As I have said it has been sitting for 18 years in my garage so apart from building the engine. the whole car will need going over to check every thing before use. br>Please feel free to ask any questions. br>You are welcome to come and view the car by arrangement!
