Description One of the last of the Phase 2 916 models sold before the launch of the restyled facelifts. this 2003 Alfa Romeo GTV 2. 0 Twin Spark has. amazingly. covered just 51k miles from new.

It is. as such. in superb condition. The 601 Black bodywork has a mirror-like shine. the black Momo leather interior shows none of the usual wear and the engine bay is practically spotless. Take a look at any of the photos or. better yet. the video linked above to see just how stunning this GTV is. It is also in fine mechanical order. with a rich service history verifying the low mileage. There are 11 stamps in the service book. receipts going back years and records for every MoT test it has ever had. The most recent of which. in fact. it flew straight through without so much as an advisory (it doesn't expire until 02/08/2017). Everything works exactly as it should. even down to ice-cold air conditioning. it has the full compliment of keys and it's totally original. Further to this. the asking price includes a brand new timing belt being fitted by a renowned Alfa Romeo specialist of over 30 years' standing. a comprehensive 3 month warranty and 3 months' AA cover.

the 2. 0 Twin Spark engine. it is every bit the sporty Italian gran turismo its name suggests. The high-revving engine produces a healthy 150bhp. its handling is precise and reassuringly weighted and it still manages to return around the 30MPG mark. which you'd be doing very well to see in a V6! And just look at it. Pininfarina's timeless design work looks just as achingly beautiful today as the day it was first penned. Driving this one around. I was pleased by just how many heads it continues to turn. but then again maybe that's also because of how remarkably clean this particular one is too!

A recent Auto Italia issue reported on how values of the 916-generation GTV and their soft-top Spider siblings were rising by the day. as they fast become sought after. modern sporting classics. They also wondered how much longer it would be possible to source decent. low-mileage and cherished examples at affordable prices. This superb example is certainly all of those and it will. I'm sure. be hard to find too many others like this if you miss out on it!
