Selling my RHD 1968 Karmann Ghia coupe. This is the much prettier 60's version with small rear lights and bullet indicators. My apologies for the photo's which weren't really set up to sell the car but should give you an idea of what its like.

I bought the car 3 years ago from someone who could not finish it. I did various jobs (All electrics fettled by Karmann Ghia motor works) put a running 1600 in to it to replace the knocking old one. put an MOT on it 6 months ago and then had a brand new interior re-trim and finally parked it in my garage to wait for the good weather. Now that weather is here I am really wanting a convertible and so this is up for sale!

It has an IRS rear end and torsion bar front end so the best handling of the KG's and disk brakes on the front for good stopping power. The tyres are brand new smart car tyres on the front and nearly new full size on the back.

When I bought this car the front beam was rotten and so I bought a unit from another Ebayer who had built one up for his project car but never fitted.   This is a brand new beam with brand new dropped spindles. new disks. new bearings. Poly bush's. Spax adjustable shocks and a new steering box (Which if you have never driven an old VW with a fresh steering box is unbelievable. its like power assisted). new pads new bearings new track rod ends new ball joints (Ball joints alone to have pressed in to an old beam will cost around £100). Basically £800 worth all brand new.

Inside I replaced the aftermarket steering wheel with the correct VW OEM version. I put a brand new glove box liner in (This is nearly always rotten or missing in these). and have had all the seats. door cards. carpets renewed (Sorry about the poor quality of the photo's but the actual interior is beautiful) £1000 spent here.

The paint is very good with the odd imperfection and scratch but I mean odd. The main reason I bought the car is because it had been re-sprayed to a good standard and looked very fresh. If you would like any close ups or other angles please email me directly to BTP333_At_googlemail. com

Any question my mobile is 07877871626

Of course everyone wants to know a buy it now. It cost me £6500 to buy it and I have put an engine. beam. interior. tyres and electrical refresh into it since. I know I am not going to get my money back but I expect to clear my original purchase price.

I have the hub caps for the front wheels and all the chrome is in good (But not perfect) condition. Not show worthy but with a polish certainly good enough for a summer cruiser.

Cash only sale.

Thanks for looking
