Anyone interested in an original and genuine VW T4 Westfalia California Club campervan? These are very rare vehicles nowadays and are much sought after. both here and in mainland Europe.

I am selling this as a project as that is what I bought it as at the end of last year. Sadly. I have not had a chance to work on and improve it as yet.   However. although I have said it is a project it does have a very long MOT and drives beautifully. so it will get you anywhere you want to go. It will also drive you home when insured and with tax or trade plates if you bought it.

I bought it at the end of last year with the romantic notion of fixing it up and then touring round this summer. doing lots of shows and festivals. Well. as some of you can appreciate. things didn't quite work out that way and I have not had the chance to do anything at all with it as yet. so it has been left standing unused and costing me a fortune in storage fees. Therefore. I have decided to ‘bail' on it and offer it up for sale here. so someone else can now take up the mantle.

This bus is 2. 5 litre petrol coupled to an automatic gearbox. It has loads of power so hills and motorways are no problem at all. However. the real bonus is the professionally fitted LPG kit. LPG is approx half the price of petrol so that makes this powerful. quiet petrol bus very economical to run too.

Important consideration   - the bodywork can only be described as very poor and a bit battered all round. It will definitely need remedial work/attention and paint if you want a nice looking bus. However. if you're not too bothered about cosmetics than you could just use it as is. If you are handy or a body-work man then this could be an absolute bargain for you. If you pay other people to do work for you. then please do your sums before bidding. I would recommend viewing to satisfy your self as to its condition so you know what to expect. Either way. these Westfalia California Club T4's are now very rare and can only increase in value over time. This is a £10k van when properly sorted.

Please note that the van has been lived in and had been used to tour Europe. spending most of the last few years in Portugal and Spain. I have not tested any of the features and appliances as it isn't stored at my house and to be honest. I am not sure how most things work!  So. I cannot guarantee what works and what doesn't. so the new buyer will have to test everything themselves.  Please take this into consideration when making an offer.

Please note that although the bus has an MOT. can be driven away and will take you anywhere. it is being sold as a project as it is in storage and I have not had the time to work on it or have it checked over properly  (I drove it nearly 200 miles home last year). This is a private sale and no warranty is given or implied.

I have tried to be an honest as possible so I have maybe painted a bleaker picture of the bus than it really warrants. but I do not want people to travel without understanding that this will need work depending on your preferences. This is why viewing is recommended.

On the plus side. it is a very rare and desirable T4 Westfalia California Club. it is reliable. runs very well and will drive anywhere. It also has a long MOT so it can be used now and improved as you go along. and/or perhaps restored at your leisure.

Collection only please. A deposit of £250 within 24 hrs of the close of the auction

is required. with the balance paid and the bus picked up with 7 days.
