1973 Volkswagen 1303 Super Beetle - Salzburg Rally

We are very pleased to be able to offer this lovely little Rally rep Beetle!
The first 3 pictures are from a recent automotive photo shoot that we sent the car off on with a local professional photographist (More to follow)

The previous owner was an enthusiast who was particular about making sure the car ran perfectly and was useable.
He is forwarding to us shortly the full specification of the car which we will then add but he basically says that it is a 1641cc with twin carbs and quick shift gear change. He decided he wanted to make it a Salzburg rally look and this was the result

I really was surprised how well this drives and performs on the road!
It is not a show car which obviously the price reflects and does have the odd mark here and there but nothing at all that would be of any concern!
The most important part is that the car (Unlike many Beetles of this era) is solid and is not full of weld or filler.
The owner stated it had been kept relatively rot free by being regularly wax oiled.
All the window seals / rubbers have been replaced so it doesn't leak and the interior is clean and tidy

This really is a very nice example for the price and with very minimal time and effort could be transformed into a show car if someone wanted.
Alternatively it could just be used as it is and provide someone as much enjoyment as the previous keeper clearly got from it.

Current Mot is until May 2013 however we will happily provide with a fresh 12 mths Mot (From what we can tell the horn is the only thing that will need attention for its new Mot)
