This car was purchased new in Germany by a gentleman who moved from Germany to Italy in 1976 where he purchased a restaurant. The car travelled nearly 100. 00 miles returning regularly to Germany and was re-sprayed in 1982. Shortly after being re-sprayed the owner died and ownership passed to his wife who used the car locally until storing it in the late 80's. The car remained in storage until 2015. The body and paint remain in exceptional condition for a car of this year. as can be seen from the photos. There is some bubbling of paint on the lower right edge of the boot. otherwise all good. The seat upholstery and carpets are original. The upholstery remains in good condition while the carpets do look tired. I purchased the car in 2015 as a potential rally car due to the original and sound body. My rallying days are now over so I had the car commissioned and MOT'd.  Various work was completed on the fuel injection (pipes. new pump. etc. ) and water system (hoses and thermostat). The car is currently on SORN. Unusually. this is a genuine. original car with a body that has not been recently sprayed to cover the sins - unlike most examples. It has the preferred twin cam engine coupled to the manual gearbox. It could benefit from some renovated bright work and a few fiddly things as one would expect; it also needs the temporary rear silencer replacing with a correct one.
