Mercedes 300SL 24 R129 Amg alloys with 2 Hard tops & Soft Top plus private plate included !

I might take a part exchange in on this if it helps and anything will be considered so try me you never know. I'm interested in Classic cars / Jaguars / 4x4's / Cars / Car trailer / Caravans or Campers. So anything will be considered but PLEASE NO BIKES !

Genuine garage find . Here we have a 1991 Mercedes 300sl 24 R129 in like a graphite grey colour with cream / beige leather interior with walnut trim . This is the most desirable R129 model & future classic plus would be a good investment. This just had a New Mot but until now it was last on the road around 2011 then tucked away in garage and left as owner fell ill . Its a hard top & soft top and its fitted with a 3. 0 litre 24 valve engine plus automatic gearbox with sports mode . The bodywork is all solid and the floor & chassis etc is all good and solid. It's got some paint blemishes to front wing and few very light scratches as expected with age but these should T cut / polish out . Its got some splits on seams in base of front leather seats. This will wash & polish up and will be very usable and a very presentable sports car . The engine is sweet and starts first turn of the key . It has a good black mohair soft top rear window bit cloudy but should clean up . cream / beige leather interior with walnut trim . electric seats including electric headrests. electric mirrors . electric soft top . electric steering wheel adjustment . power steering . remote central locking . alarm & immobilizer . amg alloys . cd stereo & full leather interior. The Amg alloys are great condition apart from lacquer peel on very outer rims so if mask wheel off and quick rub around outer rim then quick spray around it be sorted and A1 . The hardtop on it has a crack in back screen but we have another complete hardtop in same colour with good glass that will come with it and these hardtops can go for around £600 on they're own. The drivers window wont always go down but when it does go down it never fails to go back up so this will need looking at because with this not working correct the soft top wont work on the electric button this is because with these cars when the button is pushed the windows go down automatic before the roof goes back and because the drivers window don't the roof will not go if it don't know where the drivers window is However you can see the roof is moving and wanting to go when button pressed so you know nothing wrong with it and once drivers window sorted it will all work fine again. So the soft top at moment needs to be dropped manual which is easy enough but be nice to have it working on the button so I will try find fault on drivers window if get chance to strip it and take a look but no guarantee at moment as very busy and to many other projects on the go. Also through giving few bangs on the inside door panel trying to get window to work i think the lever or something has popped off back of drivers door lock but it still opens and locks from passengers side plus on remote plus if you open boot lock the doors also unlock So its all a case of drivers door panel off and fix both window and door lock then all sorted . Please do your homework and look these cars up plus the prices because this will make a fantastic car that will only go up & up in value and if you look on eBay and internet all done nice these are hitting anything between 5k and 8k even good few well over that so this is priced to sell & probably one of the cheapest in the country at this price with 2 hardtops included and only this price due to the few little problems with drivers window etc. I took it for Mot & it went through mot ok however few advisory's nothing really bad its just tyres are close to limit but not failure i can get tyres fitted if want £50 each extra cost to you of course . They advised there is oil leak somewhere as there is oil showing on underside of engine yet there is no drippers or anything on road or drive so think that might be old. Back suspension arm and structure has slight corrosion but he said its solid & only surface rust through standing & being off road for 5 years so brush off and waxoil to stop future rust . Back brake pads are starting to wear thin and brake pipe slightly corroded again surface could clean off & paint or change it if you want. But she now has 12 months mot so plenty of time to clean bits stated etc and only other thing id advise is through standing for 5 years it probably needs a good run / blow out down motorway plus id say it could do with a service even though oil looks ok id think of doing it and plugs etc as 5 years off road is a long time to stand Its up to you but im just being honest here and stating all small faults & saying what i think . For a quick sale £3200 ono . Its only up for sale because I really could do with the space and I've also got to many projects on the go.

I could maybe arrange delivery of this if not to far away for the extra cost to you of course but this would need to be checked with me first and agreed with me first. Plus I would want the full amount plus the delivery cost paid up front before I would deliver anywhere. Once auction ends there will be a deposit of £150 to pay straightaway to secure the sale and this also helps to rule out timewasters and messers and covers me for all costs and fees and loss of sale to other genuine buyers etc. You will be invoiced for this deposit soon as auction ends and I do require it to be paid straightaway so please don't bid or buy if you cant agree to my terms.
