EQUIPMENT
Overdrive. right hand drive. wire wheels. hard top with detachable panel (‘Surrey Top'). S/U carbs. Mota-Lita wooden steering wheel. Kenlowe fan. electronic ignition. full tonneau cover. Sharp radio cassette.

EXTERIOR
This example of Triumph's much sought-after TR250 has been maintained to an extremely high standard. and both the bodywork and chassis are in excellent condition. It is presented in Valencia Blue. particularly striking when combined with a silver nose stripe which continues down the front wing to the wheel arch opening. This car comes supplied with the versatile ‘Surrey Top' arrangement rather than the more common glass-fibre one-piece hardtop. and the rear window surround matches the body colour. A badge reading ‘TR250' sits off-centre on the bonnet. and unique ‘TR250' badges also appear on the rear end and rear wings.

INTERIOR
The interior is also in superb condition. with black carpets and tan seat upholstery and door trim. The dashboard looks fantastic. made from deeply polished wood. and the car is fitted with a handcrafted British-built Mota-Lita steering wheel with wood rim and three spokes of drilled polished aluminium. Optional features fitted to the car include a full tonneau cover to protect unoccupied seats in case of inclement weather. and a Sharp auto-reverse radio cassette also features in the dash. A spare wheel is in the boot. and the boot floor is rust-free.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
While not quite as rapid as the fuel-injected TR5. the TR250's 2. 5 litre. six cylinder engine still provides excellent performance – having been maintained in recent years by a lifelong TR enthusiast. this car performs at the top level. Performance is further improved by the addition of overdrive to the top three gears. transforming driving into a thrilling experience. comparable to a modern sportscar. This example has also undergone the desirable S/U carb conversion.

WHEELS. TYRES & BRAKES
The car is fitted with 48-spoke wire wheels. an option which cost the original buyer $118 on top of the base list price. They come wrapped front and rear in matching Goodyear Eagle NCT5 tyres – a versatile performance model. Brakes are Girling discs at the front. with drums at the rear.

HISTORY FILE
We have a certified copy of the factory record detailing that the car left Purfleet Deep Wharf bound for Leyland. Toronto before being repatriated to the UK where it was converted to right hand drive. In recent years. it has been maintained to an extremely high standard by the current owner. who is an active and well-known member of the TR Register – his care and expert knowledge has ensured that the car is presented in superb condition in every department.
