The Ronart is a highly respected. hand built. two-seat. high
performance British sports car based upon Jaguar running gear.
Spyder Engineering. a company highly acclaimed for its association
with Lotus Cars and racing activities since the 1960s. was
entrusted with the multi-tubular backbone spaceframe chassis
design. The Ronart reproduces the classic style of the
front-engined Grand Prix cars of the 1950s and combines today's
performance with reliability. safety and advanced composite
materials.

We are delighted to offer this IVA compliant. 2013 Ronart. built
to a very high standard and based upon a 1979 Jaguar Series II. XJ6
with low mileage and service history. The technical specification. br/>all Jaguar unless specified. includes; a 4. 2 litre straight six
engine with twin SU carburettors. an all synchromesh. four-speed
manual gearbox and overdrive. powder coated all independent rear
suspension and axle. nickel-plated front suspension and split
circuit. twin servo disc brakes. In addition; an aluminium radiator
and electric fan (with manual override) provides the cooling and an
adjustable seat and pedal box enables different sized drivers to
fit. The adjustable shock absorbers are Vanwall (an associated
company to Ronart) and come with their performance charts. The
Ronart looks every bit the part in its British Racing Green livery. br/>aero screens and sitting upon chrome wire wheels. The red leather
interior has been cleverly adapted from a period Jaguar and so
exudes a look that gives the whole car a period feel. On a recent
test. the Ronart fired into life easily and was soon warmed up with
all the instruments reading as they should. The sound on the open
road was glorious; the heat wrapped exhaust exiting low down on the
nearside of the vehicle. A Mota-Lita steering wheel will keep the
Ronart in line and the various instruments keeping the driver well
informed. An auxiliary head restraint is easily fitted for when a
passenger resides and there is a useful and quite large storage
area behind the occupants. accessed via a lockable hatch. A file
includes a photographic record of the build. a Ronart manual. a
copy of the IVA certificate and a UK V5 registration document
importantly recording the car as a Ronart W152S6. The vendor
informs us that the taxation class is based upon the 1979 donor
vehicle. however. an MoT test certificate is not needed until the
Ronart is three years from its registration date. therefore. not
requiring one until June 2016.

This is a very exciting motor car to look at and drive. With the
quality of the build. all a new owner has to do is to enjoy it.
