SS JAGUAR -1937-2 owners from new -Stunning -ultra rare

This prestige car was bought by a lady.

Brand new in 1937 and chauffeur driven for 10 years. We retain the buff log book with her name and as far as our research goes she owned a paper mill. It is in local well known history the car was presented to her son in 1937 . Her son the went off to join the war effort in the RAF . needless to say he never returned . The car was then? after approx 10 years stored in her paper mill for approx 60 years.

In 2007 the car was restored at huge expense to its current almost concours standard.

Emphasis was based on keeping the car as original as possible. all the mechanics have been restored and look as new including the brakes. suspension etc. even an original fully restored built in tool kit.

The interior has been fully restored and kept 99% original the only non original part is the headlining which is a new fitment but still in keeping with the period. All the wordwork has been restored to a standard that would make any french polisher proud. All the gauges and switches look like new but are actually original and work perfectly as they should.

The current V5 registration certificate states the car as 2 owner from new.

The mileage is correct at 57800 miles.

The cars history file isn't huge as the car was dry stored for 60 years so nothing was done to her. however we do have several photographs taken during its restoration and a large number of invoices for work carried out. What a truely fantastic piece of history.
More recently the car has been part of a stunning private collection and on display . It has covered 20 miles in the last 4 years . We would love this very rare? car with its amazing history to stay in the uk . ut we fully appreciate the enquiries for such a rare collectable piece of Jaguar and SS history will come from worldwide .

Engine & Transmission
The original engine is in first class condition. Totally restored in every way using all original parts where possible. The engine bay is amazing and support the original oil can. spare spark plugs and original inspection lamp. All ancillaries have been refurbed. The phrase is so clean you can eat your dinner off it.
Wheels. Tyres & Brakes
The wheels are all original and again have been completely restored they are as new. The original spinners look as if they have never been touched this is due to the original lead hammer in the tool kit being used to remove the wheels. The tyres are original type and are all new. Behind the original trims are the original wire wheels all in excellent condition
Exterior
The chassis and body numbers are all original and correct from the factory in 1937. The Ash frame is perfect. all doors and panels close effortlessly and fit perfectly. Underneath the car is all detailed and original and is in A1 condition. The black deep shine paintwork was done approx 7 years ago during a 3 year restoration and is close to faultless. no signs of rust or imperfections. The brightwork is in A1 condition it is all original and most has been re-chromed or polished to a very high standard.
Interior & Equipment
The interior again has had the same attention to detail as the rest of the car. It is nothing short of amazing and faultless. As far as our knowledge allows everything works perfectly. The original none reupholstered seats show no ageing and look as they have never been sat on. the interior is as new. The headlining etc is all as new . The woodwork is in amazing condition . The original clocks are so of their time and look fantastic . For a 1937 car the condition is just superb.
