My Much loved 1969 VW BAJA
1600cc - 15. 00miles (approx) // New clutch // Recent Paint Job // Tax Exempt (so it's free road tax!!)
Only used a few days a year and only in summer weather.
Sounds like a Harley-Davidson!
Starts everytime and has never broken down on me!
In the last 11 years I've replaced/refurbished all the drum brakes. fitted new front wings. replaced the headlights with halogen. replaced the rear lights to sleeker all red units. replaced the front indicators with super bright LEDs. replaced the horn. washer jet. rear number plate light (look just like billet alu bolts). replaced front Chrome 8 spoke wheel. new numberplate. new aerial. refurbished the wiper arms. added the cool stereo (as mentioned above). replaced window rubbers. blah blah blah. spent plenty on it and dont regret it! It's had the inner wheel arches and jacking points all welded so they are solid.
I've never 'off-roaded' it and it's kept in garage. under a car cover!
INSIDE: Very clean interior. all carpets look as new. original dash in excellent condition. bucket seats. metal plate door cards. cool chunky steering wheel. alpine head unit. alpine CD changer. JBL 6x9's. no rear seats. but finished neatly to accomdate the speakers and plenty of room for more subs. amps. fish tank. whatever you like!
It's been a lot of fun owning this over-sized toy for all these years. it always puts a smile on my face each time I fire it up and I know it'll be a fantastic addition to anyones driveway. you can't help but get excited!!!
