The Porsche 911 was developed as a much more powerful. larger. br/>more comfortable replacement for the Porsche 356. the company's
first model and essentially a sporting evolution of the Volkswagen
Beetle. The new car made its public debut at the 1963
Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung. better known to English
speakers as the Frankfurt Motor Show. After 11 years in production. br/>the Porsche 911 received its first serious facelift. And in line
with the times. the visual changes radically altered the way it
looked - all in the name of US safety legislation. The 1974 model
was nothing less than a step-change in direction for the 911 which
was now becoming a much more civilised car to own. 1974 saw the
introduction of calmer engines - that produced lower power but more
torque and were fuel injected by Bosch for smoother. cleaner and
more economical running. The body little changed outwardly it was
wider. as where the wheels. It also heralded the introduction of
impact bumpers as well. The 1974 model was the first world wide car
that Porsche produced.

This 1974 Porsche 911 was imported from the US in 2013 and was
purchased by the vendor from the original owner Mr. White who took
delivery from Interlake Porsche Audi in Portland USA with the
options of sunroof. Koni dampers. front and rear 'S' brakes and
front and rear 15mm anti roll bars. This 911 has only covered
43. 00 miles from new and is completely original. it has recently
had a full inspection and 12. 00 mile service by marque
specialists. Tuthill Porsche. who commented in the report. "this is
such a rare find and a truly a lovely car. virtually every inch of
it is as per it left the factory. " The original light yellow paint
work positively gleams; there are a few small marks here and there. br/>but these wouldn't look out of place on a 5 year old car. let alone
one nearly 40 years of age. The cinnamon interior looks as new and
is completely unmarked as are the carpets which are in mint
condition. The first owner kept all the original documents
including its hand book and service pack. its spare key in an
unused leatherette Porsche embossed pouch. key card. actual factory
order and period brochures. There is an early stamped Porsche
service history followed by a specialist invoices up until 2011 and
of course the recent thorough going over by Tuthills. The car is UK
registered with a V5C registration document and comes with a twelve
month MoT test certificate. It would be hard to find one better. an
investment for the future.
