61 Karmann Cabriolet RHD Price: £7995 GBP

This is a 1961 Karmann cab which is 90% complete I just don't have the time or space to get it finished. I have the Birth certificate from VW Germany confirming it left the factory on 31 May 1961. It was imported back to the UK from Australia in 68 hence the wrong reg number. its no problem sorting the correct age related registration plate. just needs to be mot'd and taxed (free) first.   The Chassis is very sound all channels good Body work is exceptional in L401 black. The Last owners I bought it from had spent a heap of money on it but sadly passed away before finishing.

What it needs. I have a brand new complete hood (all 4 layers) from TMI the original back window and all new rubbers. the frame has been blasted and powder coated and has new wood frame rails. So have everything for the hood all it has to be is fitted. which I had arranged for in June with a specialist upholsterer (Not an easy job!) He can carpet the vehicle also. However the fitting of the hood and carpeting is not included in the sale. The windows all 4 wind up and down as they should though the passenger side front is cracked. The engine is a 1600 single port and is running though needs tuning. gears appear ok all engage and brakes working. Wheels are horrible but servicable would sell and replace with new wide 5s. Have a set of drums. New door cards to come with it from TMI. Various little bits of trim and electrical gremlins no doubt will need sorting but all readily available.

This will be a lovely car and there really is not a lot left to do. it is in great condition all the hard work done and its Right hand drive!
