Here is your opportunity to own a one of a kind 1967 Dodge a-108 Camper Van.   I bought this van from the son of the original owner in Colorado.   I picked it up last spring and my family and I began the conversion to a motor home to take us 21 days down Route 66.   We have just completed the vacation where we put 6. 60 great miles on the camper.   We saw America exactly the way it should be seen.   About the van:  Solid. no rust.   There was a little rust in the front fenders when I got it.   I have the before pictures.   I repaired with welded steel.   It hard to tell where the rust was.   The motor runs just like it should.   Slant 6's are dependable and easy to understand.   It used about a quart of oil in 6. 00 miles.   I can live with that.   There is a small coolant leak at the #6 exhaust bolt.   This is common for these and hasn't caused any need to fill the radiator.   When I say I would trust it to go across country. It's because I just did it.   The only problem we had was a locked up alternator and broken fan belt.   I replaced the 42 amp alternator with a 60 amp (needed it anyway).

Here is what the van has:  21" Flat Screen TV with build in DVD player. 8000 BTU LG Air Conditioner. 3. 2 CF Refrigerator with Freezer. 1200W Microwave. 1000W 2 Burner Cook Top. All dishes. cookware. flatware. 10' Screened in tent room. 20x16 outdoor carpet. portable flushing toilet (perfect for 9 year old when they have to go). Portable sink and water storage.

The inside has an aluminum pop top with a cot in it and room for a second cot.   It also has a full sized bed that folds out and sleeps 2 comfortably.   The back seats are the middle row seats from a 2012 Suburban.   Leather and have cool storage underneath.   The front seats are original and we had them covered at Sure-Fit in Canton Ohio to perfectly match the back seats.   So new leather all around.   The inside walls are sound proofed. nbsp;2" foam insulation and 1/16" diamond plate. Looks great.   The floor are sound proofed. 3/4" plywood and diamond plate foam covering.   It has a second DVD/NAV/Bluetooth/IPOD player in the dash with an 8" touch screen.   There are 2 8" Peavey speakers from the early 70's that complete the retro look and sound good.   There are curtains on all windows. 10 plugs throughout the van with electric from Honda 2000 generator or plug ins at campgrounds.   There are LED lights throughout the van that look cool as well.   I'm sure I'm forgetting some features.   All in all. totally one of a kind!  I will post some pictures of the inside this weekend.   My phone is acting up and I'm not at home this week.

The outside of the van has a 21' kayak. canoe or flatboat rack. scooter rack on rear bumper (reinforced to carry 800 pounds). rack on driver side for generator and 6 gallons of fuel. rack in the front for bicycles. rack on top for luggage.   All racks and accessories stay.   Not the boats. scooters or bikes.   The Honda generator and extended run fuel tanks. the bag for the luggage rack and racks themselves stay.   You can carry everything you need for a trip across country.   I know this!  The front nose of the van and mirrors are covered with spray on bed liner.   This is because of the bugs.   No power washer in the world should take off the paint with the bugs.

Let me be very clear about this:  This is a 47 year old van.   It is not a show van.   It is for adventure and fun.   I did not build it to take to car shows but to drive across country with my family and see Route 66.   I can't tell you how many thumbs we got on our trip. but it was in the 100's.   Dozens of people asked to take pictures of the van while we were on our trip.   People gravitate toward the nostalgia associated with these vans and this one is super-special.   There is no warrantee.

Please feel free to call Chad at 704. 530. 9798 in Canton. Ohio if you have any questions.   There will be a $1000 deposit on Paypal within 24 hours and full payment in cash on pick up.   I will be happy to pick you up at Cleveland or Akron/Canton Airport if you want to fly in and drive home.

Please have funds available when you bid.   My terms are not flexible.   I would like picked up within 14 days of purchase.
