The Morris Minor is the quintessential British classic car and this is an excellent example.
It has covered a genuine 50224 miles from new and has a wonderful provenance.
It was bought new in July 1968 by Mr George Gregg from his local Morris dealership. T Wall (Garages) Ltd. for the grand sum of £681. 17s. 3d which is confirmed by the original invoice in the history file.
In 1985 Mr Gregg retired from driving and handed the car onto his son Peter who used it to attend classic car shows throughout the country including the Morris Minor Jubilee at Blenheim Palace in 1998 and a rally at Bridgnorth in 2000 when it won the Best Saloon Car Trophy.
In 2010. after Peter Gregg had cherished the car for 25 years. he read that the original selling dealer. T Wall Ltd. was celebrating 50 years in business and as he was giving up regular driving he contacted them and sold the car back to them. The documentation file contains a number of newspaper cuttings detailing this history of the car.
After showing the car in their showroom for their 50th anniversary celebrations. T Wall Ltd sold it to a local classic enthusiast who has ensured that it has remained in excellent condition.
The current MOT runs until June 2014 but it will have a full 12 months when sold and the Free Historic Road Tax until the end of May 2014 is on the windscreen.
If you want own and drive an inflation proof car that brings a smile to you and all who see her then this is an ideal first classic car. Historic Road Tax is free and spare parts are readily available from the numerous Morris Minor specialists that can be found throughout the country.
The buyer will be happy and proud to be seen in this car at any of the classic car rallies that are held throughout the year.
