Alfa sprint veloce cloverleaf
This is one of the last of the line alfa sprint 1. 5 before the engine was changed. originally fitted with the full zender body kit and alloy wheels from new in veloce trim.
Beautiful example of this very rare Sprint. The last owner got the car for his 21st birthday in 1992 as a present from his father. he owned it until last year when the car came to me after standing unused for a few of years.
The car was fully restored in 1997 and has had intermittent use throughout the last 22 years hence it only has 85000 miles.  A few years ago it had a full suspension rebuild including new cross member. suspension arms. strut mounts and bearings. rear koni adjustable shockers.  complete set of superflex poly bushes fitted front and rear. everything striped and repainted.  uprated front brakes with vented and grooved discs. new pads. slightly bigger calipers. new rear shoes. cylinders. compensator. full set of brake lines and more. The engine was rebuilt. itted with new starter. alternator. clutch. clutch slave cylinder. core plugs. head gaskets. water pump cam belt and tensioners. fuel pump. Radiator. tc  im sure the list goes on. . The car was run for less than a year until the fuel tank sprung a leak. some problems with some new fuel hoses the owner fitted and the brakes lights stopped working.  he fitted a brand new fuel tank which he had painted with 10 coats paint and thats as far a he got.
I bought the car last year as it was a shame to leave it as it was when it was in good condition. I stripped it out to check everything and replace any parts necessary. the work listed above looks like it was all done yesterday with no rusty parts or deterioration.  I wanted to check the engine due to long time standing so I removed it and removed the heads. re ground the valves and put new head gaskets on. nbsp;fitted new cambelts. water hoses. fuel hoses. the weber carbs rebuilt. all new oils. filters and antifreeze.    I removed the body kit had it all repainted and a fresh coat of paint on the body and under the bonnet. then the car was rebuilt.   The interior is is excellent condition with only a little wear in places due to being 27 years old. it has a full tool kit in a alfa wallet. jack and matching spare alloy wheel. the tyres have loads of tread and are worn flat. The car was MOTed the end of last month and then taxed in april ( cheap tax as its under 1500cc)  I have run the car over about 500 miles so far. (this will rise as i am using it daily and on long runs from north yorkshire to co durham once or twice a week in this good weather as its so addictive). it is a dream to drive. very precise and sweet handling. excellent on fuel and very nippy even with its 1. 5 litre engine (105 bhp) . It hasn't put a foot wrong. it looks very well on the road turning heads where ever it goes.  With all the work carried out throughout its life and just recently has made it a very usable and beautiful alfa that can only increase in value now 80's cars are on the rise.
I have thought long and hard about what price to sell the car . I have looked at some used classic car guides and it is priced accordingly even tho im sure it could be worth more. this car has has wanted for nothing. is ready to drive away. I think you would have to go a long way to find a more sorted original sprint with excellent expensive upgrades. in fact. i cant remember the last time I saw one for sale.
Please ask sensible questions about the car after reading the full listing. I would actively encourage viewing so you can satisfy yourself it is the car for you. the v5 is present and the car is available to look at nr york and also in co durham during the first part of the week as I look after my daughter up there.
please do not bid if you do not want to buy the car. non paying bidders will be issued invoices and pursued through the court system for recovery of the full winning bid and costs as well as usual ebay routes.  To all genuine ebayer's. the car is cash on collection good luck. and hope you are the lucky winner of this great car.

being asked lots of questions regarding the reserve price. how much you want for it mate to end early!!!As i stated in the listing I have no idea of the value. i have simply taken the value from the only up to date price guide i can find. i cannot find another one for sale to compare. altho there is a gtv listed as a sprint.  i have set a reserve as I started the auction at £1 to the lowest price I think will do the car justice the rest is up to you guys and gals.  This is an auction site not a classified add section of a magazine so please enter into the spirit of that and bid away. as thats half the fun. the car is available for viewing and will happily spend time to show you around it.
Thanks to all the bidders so far. good luck.
