Current customer rating: (678 votes ) based on1974 Ford Escort Mk1 rally/retro rallycross car
Matt Roach Racing is selling this car on behalf of a customer who lives in the US and unable to take advantage of driving this great car. The car was fully restored and modified for stage rallies in 2008. The current owner purchased it in 2012 and I refurbished the car but it only took in one rallycross event in 2013 and otherwise has stayed in dry storage in my workshop. The car has a current MSA logbooked and HRCR Registered for Historic rallies in class 2 as a Ford 1600 Mexico.
The current livery is a replica of John Taylor's 1973 European Rallycross winning car produced with permission of Haynes of Maidstone. The car is currently set-up for retro-rallycross so the road/rally parts are missing from the pictures but will all come with the car.
The car is race ready. That is not a statement it is a promise. The car is ready to run the weekend after you buy it. Currently on a SORN but we welcome viewing by appointment.
