Austin Healey Sprite 1959 Mark I Bugeye

Sale price: £6,500.00 make an offer

Car location: Yucca Valley, California, United States

Seller's notes: Solid RHD from Southern California. Not a rust bucket that will cost a fortune to repair. Crack in the heavy enamal paint on both sides of the rear quarter panel above the rear wheel wells. A small coin sized bubble in the paint at the far end of the hood on both the right and left side of the bonnet. Not a deep rust cancer, but surface blemishes on both the areas of paint crack and bubbling. The car appears to have had several inexpensive paint resprays. The body is very solid and an excellent candidate for the full concours restoration...without a great expense of rust repair and rewelding rotten body panels. Surface rust blemishes inside the rear trunk area where the spare tire is stored. No jack or tools are present. Good period Moto Lita steering wheel and decent seat covers, top, spare tire, side curtains.

This car has been in dry storage in a desert California garage. since 2009.  The master cylinder will need rebuilding  and obviously the brakes gone through after this long of a storage period.  Gas tank drained before storage. This is the other Sprite that I am selling.  I am the person who had the red Sprite race car for sale this last week.  I have a regular contact at a shipping company that works with shippers in the UK and EU.  Cost that CFR Rinkin quoted is about $1500 USD or say 950 GBP. from my garage to your port of entry.  Obviously your agent that receives the car will have some fees.  My contact is Jovon. jbernal@cfrlines. com.    She knows me because I have shipped other cars with them and have had conversations about importing a car from your side.  Tell her. it is Paul up in Mountain Center that is shipping the car.  Check my feedback on the MG TD I just sent over in January.  Excellent car for the expensive rebuild. because you are starting with a sound body and there has been limited modification. namely. the front tilting hood/bonnet that an earlier owner did. Period correct Moto-Lita steering wheel is on the car.  Interior is good and usable for pleasure driving.  The ignition has been upgraded to an electronic unit. but otherwise it is quite stock.  No jack. or tools are present in the car. but the top. bows. side curtains. and spare tire are present.  Good tires. but while they are not showing cracking. they are not recent fresh tires.  They hold air well. so you are not going to be struggling flat tires during transit.  Car ran very well before I had my accident. falling off a ladder putting up Christmas lights which ended my driving for a while.   Shifted well and handled quite well.  The paint looks passable 20 feet away. but you can see that it is an inexpensive respray when you look closely.  I am leaving on a holiday to Nova Scotia Canada on 4-29-2014 for 3 weeks.  So you need to have shipping details worked out fairly soon after winning the auction/buy it now.  My bank is familiar with wire transfer from the UK.  I have a special account for receiving wire transfers.
