Mk1 Fiesta Xr2 In White 42,900 Miles From New. Not Modified No Swap/px

Right where to start. This is my mk1 fiesta xr2 in the best colour white. It has had 4 owners in its life and has only covered 42. 80 miles it has all old mots from new to now to back this up. I have all the details of the previous owners including copies of the logbooks. This car has done 4000 miles in 4 years and has never been to a ford show in its life. (Except today when I took it to squires ford meet in Leeds and the reaction was very positive).

The car was first registered in 20-09-1983. It was bought by John Abbott of 23 Longfield Avenue. Fareham. He used the car until 01-03-1994 and parked it in his garage. His neighbour Roger Tickle (number 25) bought the car from him on 01-12-2009. He got it all running after 16 years parked up. He had the bonnet sprayed. wing tops and front panel. He has written a letter detailing this. He confirms the mileage at this point as 38. 00miles. He then sold the car to a lady from Luton who wanted it because her first car was a mk1 XR2. She only kept it 8 months and decided she preferred her Range Rover Sport. Then a mr Lightowler bought it still with only 39. 00 miles. i have letters confirming this and an email from DVLA confirming that there was no licensing activity for 16 years. I have every MOT for the car except for the 16yrs parked up.

The car has never been welded and has all its original panels with stamped wings and the pdi sticker in the boot. I must point out i would describe the condition as very very good original. ITS NOT CONCOURSE. It has only been used in summer months. servicing it every year when it comes out of the garage.

The clutch has been changed for a genuine new old stock item because it grabbed from being stood. I have then just replaced serviceable items. It had HT leads (still have old ones as they are fine just wanted red) . istributer cap. and rotar arm. and battery. Nos motorcraft plugs nos motorcraft oil filter and 20/50 classic comma oil 2x new wheel cylinders and nos motorcraft shoes. I have also fitted a brand new Ashley exhaust and manifold and a piper x filter still have the originals though so I can put them back on.

It has 2 original Pirelli P6 tyres on it plus one on the spare all tyres are good. The seats have had original fitted ford seat covers on from new until I bought it but I do still have them in there original bag and they are extremely rare.

It still has original green brake pipes. and stereo. Everything on it works as ford left it. The cigar lighter has never been used. Underneath and in the arches are still white.

There is little niggling bits. The rear parcel shelf is discoloured and bowed and there is a bubble at the bottom of the passenger door under the sticker. There's the odd mark here and there but as it's never been restored it just adds to the originality.

Overall if you wanted the car as concourse it will require some bits and bobs touching in. No rot. I have always wanted an original classic that I could use but really miss my rs1600i. The body work is very very straight and all the panel gaps are perfect. showing its original.

I have just done its April service. it passed its mot yesterday 05/04 with one advisory for small cracks in the tyres but they are fine and still have the little bobbles on? It also has tax till end of July so is ready to drive. I'm a XROC member and would really like it to sell to an enthusiast or collector as there can't be many out there with this mileage. May NOT take a px and cash or NOT swap for another ford. I'm NOT open to offers but please be realistic.
