Here is my lovely Stag for auction. I have a genuine reason for selling and it is with great sadness that I am selling.
It is a 1975 car with some good history. It was converted to a Rover V8 and the conversion was very well done. It comes with a soft top and a hard top. Both are serviceable and work well.
The car is a 1975 and it has a private plate as it was originally owned by a Liverpool company.
The plate is apparently worth over £900.  Just had this from a registration agent:Thank you for your enquiry regarding registration mark ELS 10K.  We would be pleased to sell the registration on your behalf and would return you the sum of £1000 NET to yourself upon the completion of the transfer.
This car is what I call a rolling project. It runs and has an MOT. I ran it all last summer and it never missed a beat.
I rebuilt the engine 12 months ago and it was a total strip and rebuild. The block was honed and the crank polished. No grinding required.  New bearings. rings. cam. oil pump. heads are later ones with bigger valves and new valves fitted. The heads were polished. New lifters and push rods.
The engine was re-assembled with a lot of tlc. It was set up on a rolling road and produced a healthy 190 bhp. It runs on SU's.
It has silicon hoses. 14 inch kenlow and brand new radiator.
The rear suspension has been rebushed and I have the kit for the front. The boot has been freshened up.  
I have replaced the near side outrigger and the panels in front of the bonnet.
It will need more work o some panels and the doors but it is solid underneath. That's why I purchased this particular car over several others.
I have completed lots of other work including an H4 head lamp upgrade. I have all sorts of parts ready to fit including the seat foams for the passenger side. Already sorted the drivers seat. I also have most of a 4 speed ZF gearbox upgrade including a low mileage XJS ZF box. I have a spare stainless exhaust system.
I really don't want to sell but circumstances mean I should.
